Task Five

Day 5! And the last paragraph/summary task before we start getting into the good fun stuff! Finally, lol. Trust me yall im doing this with you and MAN has it been fun but also tiring to develop this story so much without getting to write anything really yet. But I just know it's going to be so helpful later on!

For task four, I was looking for the same general premises as the first two tasks, as well as well thought through and uniquely developed relationships. The top three entries of task three were:
@Pulchra_Aurum , @ViolenceandSorrow , @SamMariLu

And the winning entry was...
*drumroll*
@Pulchra_Aurum !

Congratulations! Please let me know how you'd like to receive my personal review of your task. Your shoutout will be on my message board within the hour:)

Now, for the FINAL summary task, we are world-building!! Write a 150+ word summary of the setting of your story. It can be about it's history, weather, politics, traditions/culture, anything! Just build the scene where your story takes place. As always, below is the setting for my story: the Carnisian Empire.

The Empire of Carnis is a rugged, mountainous land with its cities carved into the cliffsides, peaks, and valleys, connected by winding roads, bridges, and tunnels that overcome the natural barriers between the sectors. At the highest peak of the empire stands the Obsidian Palace, its dark, glassy stone infused with volcanic ash, its spires piercing the low-hanging clouds. At the empire's lowest point lies the Veil of Carnis, a massive ravine surrounded by myths and legends of its dangerous origins. Shrouded by mist and shadow, the silence grows heavier the closer one gets, and it seems as though the very air stiffens with each step. Despite the harsh and ominous landscape, valleys serve as fertile pastures and farming lands, often closely tended to by Savoren, the gluttony sector. The mountains of Carnis are home to typical flora and fauna, including mountain goats, hawks, wildflowers, and snow-capped peaks. Travel between the sectors is facilitated by horses or caravans, gondola systems, lifts, rope bridges, and tunnels carved into the mountains. For the daring, narrow cliffside paths provide a dangerous and lengthy alternative. Travel and trade are crucial to the empire's economy, overseen by the Warden of the Seven. Each sector offers its own array of unique goods and services, but its the bustling street markets and hidden underground black markets that most people believe keep the empire running.

What do you think?
Have fun and good luck!
