Scott reassured Scala, stating, "It's alright, Scals, it's alright."
Scala expressed concern, asking, "You don't believe that Mom left because she didn't love us, do you?"
Scott responded, "No, Scals, she loved us."
Scala continued to probe, "You don't think it was because of us, do you?"
Scott replied, "No, Scals, it wasn't that either."
Scala then inquired, "What are we going to do?"
Scott admitted, "I don’t know."
Scala observed, "You’re annoyed, aren’t you?"
Scott nodded in agreement.
Scala asked, "Are you going to become aggressive?"
Scott smirked at Scala and replied, "No."
Scala suggested, "Do you want to cuddle?"
Scott responded, "I would love to."
Scott reclined, allowing Scala to nestle against him. Scala rested her head on Scott's chest and soon fell asleep, while Scott gently rubbed her back.
Scott reassured her, saying, "Everything will be alright, Scala."
Eventually, Scott also succumbed to sleep for the night.
The following morning, Scott awoke to find Scala still peacefully asleep on his chest.
He carefully lifted Scala off of him and placed her onto his bed. After getting up and dressing, Scott experienced a pang of discomfort in his abdomen. Undeterred, he proceeded to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for Scala, opting to make pancakes.
