Today started off as any day. I got up for school, took a shower, picked out my clothes, grabbed a breakfast bar, and rode the bus to school. I have my license but we don't have enough money for me to have a car, just my mom. My mom is amazing. I wouldn't ask for anyone else to be my mother. She's always there for me, takes great care of me, and buys me everything I need. I may not have everything I want, but at least I have everything that I need. It was really hard on us when my dad passed away when I was 6. I don't really remember him a whole lot, but my mom always talks about him, and tells me stories.
"He was the best guy I have ever met. I remember one time in High School, I was getting picked on and he stuck up for me. Such a nice guy he was."
It was hard for us because he was the one who brought all the money in, so when he passed away, my mom had to get a job, which was a little hard on me, since I spent everyday with her since I was a baby. I use to be lonely when she first started work, but now I'm in High School, and I have a couple friends to keep me company when she's gone at work.

It was the middle of 2nd hour when they called me down to the office. I didn't have any clue why they called me down. I thought I was getting in trouble, but I hadn't done anything wrong that I could think of, or remember. I went down to the office and saw my uncle. He looked sad and upset, but all he told me was to get my stuff because I was leaving earlier. At the time I thought nothing of it, so I went and grabbed my stuff with no questions. When we got in the car, that's when he told me everything. "We have to go to the hospital. Your mother got in a serious accident and the doctors aren't sure she's going to make it." Tears started rolling down my face. The whole ride there I just looked out the window, thinking how all of this isn't possible. My mom couldn't die, she was just fine this morning, everything was going to be okay.

When we got to the hospital, I jumped out of the car and ran to the doors leaving my uncle behind. When I got to the getting desk, the lady asked who I was looking for. "Anna" I said "She's my mother and I think she got into an accident." Tears started forming in my eyes as I said that. She looked up at me with a sad expression on her face. "She's in room 257." With no words left, I ran to the room and the doctor was in there checking her pulse and everything. I looked at my mom, and she looked horrible. There were cuts everywhere on her. She was awake but looked sick. I went up to her and tried talking, but she just mumbled nonsense. I started crying, and telling her how much I love her, and that she couldn't die and she was going to be okay. 5 minutes later of me still telling her how much I love her, she mumbled something, then the machine went flat. Tears started pouring out of my eyes, and my uncle, who I didn't notice walk in because I was too concentrated on my mom, put his hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him, and I noticed he was crying to. We sat there in silence for what seemed like forever, before he finally spoke. "Don't worty Emma, everything is gonna be okay." If only what he said was true...
