Mina POV-
It was a long ass day ,and I was very happy that it was a fucking weekend and I gotta enjoy myself in my room without having any human interactions.
Just as I curled up on my bed, my phone buzzed. An unknown number lit up the screen.
Unknown: "Hey, I’m outside. Should I ring the bell, or is the key still under the mat?"
I frowned at the text. Definitely not for me.
Me: "I think you’ve got the wrong number."
A few seconds later, three dots appeared, and then another message.
Unknown: "Oh damn, I’m so sorry! Totally sent it to the wrong person. My bad!"
I smiled to myself, amused.
Me: "No worries. Hope you find the right person."
Unknown: "Thanks! Honestly, I feel so dumb right now. Anyway, sorry for bothering you."
I thought that was the end of it, but then another message came through.
Unknown: "Wait, you seem pretty chill. Wanna tell me your name? I might owe you a funny story for accidentally spamming you."
I hesitated but decided to text anyway.
Me: "It’s Mina. And you are...?"
Unknown: "Nice to meet you, Mina. I’m Ming. Clumsy texter and currently stuck outside my best friend’s house because I suck at memorizing numbers."
I laughed.
Me: "Ming, the clumsy texter? Sounds like you’re having quite the night."
Ming: "You have no idea. But hey, you’re making it better."
And just like that, a random text turned into an oddly entertaining conversation.
Ming POV-
It had been a rough day, and all I wanted was to crash at my best friend’s place. I stood outside his apartment, phone in hand, trying to hold my frustration.
Ming: "Hey, I’m outside. Should I ring the bell, or is the key still under the mat?"
I hit send and waited, shifting on my feet. A second later, my phone buzzed, but instead of my best friend, it was a number I didn’t recognize.
Unknown: "I think you’ve got the wrong number."
I stared at the screen, realizing my mistake. Damn it. I’d typed one digit wrong in a rush.
Ming: "Oh damn, I’m so sorry! Totally sent it to the wrong person. My bad!"
I expected a dead end, but the reply came quicker than I thought.
Unknown: "No worries. Hope you find the right person."
For some reason, the way they replied felt... kind. It wasn’t just a dismissive "okay," and something about that made me curious.
Ming: "Thanks! Honestly, I feel so dumb right now. Anyway, sorry for bothering you."
I stood there for a moment, contemplating if I should just let it go. But the day had been long, and talking to someone—even a stranger—felt oddly tempting.
Ming: "Wait, you seem pretty chill. Wanna tell me your name? I might owe you a funny story for accidentally spamming you."
A few seconds passed before they replied.
