Nasir sat at the kitchen counter, his MacBook open in front of him, as he scrolled through emails and property listings. His focus was locked on expanding his business ventures beyond the club scene. Lately, he'd been searching for land to develop under he and Camille's company, debating between a commercial property or a residential project. The suburban area of Houston he lived in was rapidly growing, with new homes and businesses popping up every day. With the influx of middle-class families moving in, either choice seemed like a surefire way to keep the money flowing.

He was so engrossed in his work that he didn't hear the door to the garage open.

"Hey, Nas!" a familiar voice called, pulling him out of his thoughts.

Nasir glanced up briefly to see Caliyah walking in, her yellow Goyard tote bag slung over her shoulder as she set her car keys on the counter.

"Wassup, mama?" he said casually, his eyes flicking back to the screen.

Caliyah leaned against the counter, casually eyeing him as she plucked a few grapes from the fruit bowl and popped them into her mouth. "What you been up to?" she asked, her tone light but curious.

Nasir shrugged, his attention still fixed on the properties scrolling across his laptop screen. "Same shit as always. Workin'."

He glanced up briefly, raising an eyebrow. "What about you, though? How you finish out the semester?" His eyes locked onto her face, catching the cheesy grin she was clearly trying to hold back.

"Well, since you asked..." she said, unable to hide her excitement as she reached into her tote bag and pulled out a folded sheet of paper. She placed it on the counter in front of him like it was gold.
