Anirudh's POV
I climbed on the horse and took his reign in my hands before pulling it as the horse neighed. With a kick of my leg, the horse galloped out of the palace gates, leaving everything behind except my thoughts of Tara. As we rode into the night, my focus was solely on finding my wife. The wind whipped past my face as I rode further in the direction. At that moment nothing else mattered except reuniting with my wife as soon as possible.
I didn't care whether my soldiers were following me or not because I could save my wife alone. I didn't need anyone.
My heart was beating faster and with every heartbeat, my worry for Tara increased to other level. I felt overwhelming because of feeling lot of emotions altogether.
I felt angry on myself if I hadn't let her go to Somgarh then she would have been safe now, in my arms. And even if I had permitted her then I should have accompanied her to her kingdom, but I didn't. And the result was, her kidnapping.
I just wished for her safety. I prayed to god on my way to keep her safe.
It took almost one and half day to reach Alamgarh, it meant they were still on their way, somewhere resting. So I had to reach their before they could enter their kingdom.
I for a fact knew that it was the king of Alamgarh only who kidnapped my wife. I was also observing their suspicious activities from quite sometime.
I was moving fast, a lot fast as I could not even see my surrounding properly. I was just focusing in front and how I could reach there faster.
The evening turned into night as I travelled into the forest taking the shortest path to reach. It was a dark forest surrounded by many wild and poisonous animals, but I didn't care, I just wanted to reach to my Tara soon.
After few hours passed my gaze went towards the main road as I came out of the forest. Now I knew I had to look all around because they could be anywhere resting. After riding for around one more hour I looked at the light coming far away from distance.
Slowing my horse as I approached, I noticed numerous tents in the distance, surrounded by soldiers standing guard. A group of soldiers sat around a crackling fire, their faces illuminated by the flickering flames. I squinted my eyes to see the flag so that I could understand from which kingdom they belonged.
My eyes widened and lips parted when I saw Alamgarh's flag.
It meant Abhimanyu was right that it was Alamgarh behind Tara's kidnapping.
I would not leave him. How dare he kidnap my wife? I would rip him.
My anger doubled and fist clenched thinking about my Tara being in the clutches of those bastards.
I was going to move forward but stopped when I heard a voice coming out of the bushes. I frowned and looked behind, there was nothing. Still, I climbed down the horse to check one more time. What if any of their soldier was hiding here?
As I started looking around but found nothing. But still, I felt like there was someone watching me. Suddenly I heard a thud sound behind me, and immediately I turned around to attack that person but stopped when.
"Bhaisa, it's me"
Abhimanyu stood in front of me. Looking very disheveled.
"What are you doing here?"
I asked as I moved towards him.
"I was up there on the tree since evening, keeping an eye on them"
He replied signalling towards the tree than at the area where those people were resting.
