35. Misunderstandings and Resolutions - Part II

"The presentation was not up to the mark. Mujhe kal subah Mumbai jana hai dubara dene ke liye. And I'm sleeping in the guest room today. Good night" Dhawal said, going out the door as it snapped shut behind him.

Natasha sat still for a minute taking in what he said. He was leaving tomorrow!? For how long?! She really had made a mistake this time. If only she had known about this.....she was now sure that all this was done deliberately today only for this reason itself.

Upar se ye gadha bina koi baat clear kiye guest room me chala gaya hai sone ke liye! Iska har jhagde ka solution hota hai guest room me so jao!

First time hi to drink karke aya hai and that too with valid reason. He loves you and he is your husband! You pushed him away like that...What's wrong with kissing him after a long stressful day of work?

She could feel her face go warm as she thought about it.

But he was leaving! And he didn't even tell her when he would be back! She was already starting to feel sad thinking about him leaving her here. As it is she was feeling very anxious these days and the only person on her side was angry at her and leaving for god knows how many days. How was she going to survive without him??

Determined to sort things out, she went to the guest room. She tried to open the door but it was locked. She knocked and waited.

She was almost going to call him on the phone when he finally opened the door a crack and peeped his head out.

"Itna time kyu lagaya kholne me?" she said, curiously and tried to go in.

"Kya hua?" he asked, ignoring her question and blocking her way.

"Baat karni hai mujhe" She crossed her arms and looked right at him.

"Bolo" he said, acting completely uninterested. He leaned his shoulder against the doorframe and she could see that he was in his vest and pyjamas. He must've been changing when she knocked.

"Andar to aane do!"

"Nahi. Yahi se batao kya bolna hai" He was still miffed at her.

"Dhawal, kisi ne aise hume dekh liya to sochenge humara jhagda hogya hai!" she said, looking across the corridor to see if anyone was coming. She did not want anyone to know their personal business. Especially Maa.

"To kya galat sochenge? Hua hi hai."

She pursed her lips and looked towards the ceiling. Hey Somnath, ye aisa kyu hai? Kuch samajh nahi aata hai kya isse? Kese ladke se pyar karwa diya aapne?

Footsteps sounded coming up the stairs and she panicked.

"Koi aa raha hai! Hato!" she told him but when he didn't budge and opened his mouth to protest, she poked a finger in his side, tickling him and he jumped in surprise. Taking advantage of his distraction, she pushed him back and slid in, shutting the door just as someone started coming through the corridor.
