Natasha woke up to the sound of a door creaking sometime later and she thought that it was coming from outside but a minute late the mattress dipped beside her and goosebumps arose on her skin. Someone was inside the room with her. On the bed with her. Her blanket shuffled and she froze, her heart starting to pound hard with fear. She was ready to scream her lungs out when a hand clamped on her mouth.

"Shh...main hu Maddy." He said, leaning over her.

The relief and joy she felt on hearing his voice call her Maddy was just indescribable. She sat up instantly and switched on the light. And there he was with that infuriating and adorable grin of his on his face. He who had made her feelings see-saw all the time and hadn't talked to her the whole 2 days, was now sitting here as if nothing was wrong. Her stupid, impossible, lovable husband. She almost felt like crying seeing him again, so stressed she had been. She pinched herself and then him to make sure that she wasn't dreaming of him again.

"Ouch!"

And then she threw herself at him in a bear hug and he hugged her back tightly, feeling the same emotions as her. These had been a tumultuous 2 days and he had missed her. He had done everything in his power to reach home today and had managed somehow. He wanted to see her, talk to her, kiss her so badly. He was feeling very bad at the way he had left things before leaving. It was several minutes before they pulled apart and then she started smacking him right and left, non stop.

"Ow! Maddy! Ruko! Arey...lag rahi hai mujhe!" He tried to stop her but she was relentless.

"Tum kya mujhe heart attack dena chahte ho?! Aise kaun karta hai?! Adhi raat ko bina bataye! Meri to jaan nikal gayi thi! Mujhe laga murder hone wala hai mera!"

"I thought I would surprise you!" he finally grabbed her hands and held them in his lap.

"Han...surprise me after ignoring me for 2 days! Tumne call ya text kyu nahi kiya?" she asked him furiously.

"Ek minute! Maine tumse zyada call and text kare hai inn do dino me. Tumne barely ek call kiya tha mujhe!"

"Han to mujhe laga tum busy hoge meetings me!"

"Mujhe laga you're mad at me for my behaviour that night!"

"Mujhe laga tum gussa ho because of...everything.."

"I'm sorry." they said, simultaneously and then without wasting any time, he pulled her right into his lap and hugged her close. She clung to him, wrapping her arms around his back and burying her face in his neck. She was feeling calm now that he was here. Everything would sort itself out now.

"Mujhe tumpar chillana nahi chahiye tha...and wo Pandya store ki baat beech me nahi laani chahiye thi" he said, swaying them slightly.

"I'm sorry about the papers!"

"I'm sorry I came home drunk"

"I ruined your presentation...twice" she mumbled, dismayed.

He pulled back slightly, trying to look at her. "No you did not. We got the project. Aur--" He paused and stared at her for a minute.

"Kya hua?" she asked, conscious of the way he was looking at her.

"Tumne mere kapde pehne hue hai??" he asked, unbelieving and feeling a weird possessiveness towards her, seeing her in his clothes. His t-shirt was engulfing her completely and the neck was hanging off one shoulder. And seeing her like this was doing something to him.

She blushed hard and tried to get off him but he wrapped his arms around her turned her face towards him.

"Wo...actually...main.." She tried to think of a reason but when nothing came to her mind she decided to tell him the truth. "They're comfortable and....and I was missing you" she told him with a red face.
