Getting steady

After a few week at Lake View, I already know my way around the ropes. I'm not really "new" anymore.

I know a lot of people now so I speak up a bit more, but I'm still really shy and timid.

Another thing you should know about me is I'm kind of awkward. I'm very bad at small talk lol.

*Buzz* went my alarm clock. It was 6:43 as I woke up. It was a very rainy day which meant my hair would be a flop.

I threw on a sweatshirt, jeans, and a beanie and headed to the kitchen for breakfast.

"Good morning Ash." Amy said as I ran down the stairs.

"Morning sissy. Pass the milk." I told her.

I had some milk and lucky charms and then I rushed down to the bus stop with my big bulky umbrella.

"Bye Amy" I said as I ran out the door.

It was pouring outside and I just wanted to hurry and get on the bus, but of course the bus was late again.

We stood out there for what felt like ages. Not to mention it was kinda chilly out.

When the bus finally got here I rushed through the door, took a seat, put on my headphones, and listened to some music.

I just stared out the window and listened to J Cole the whole ride to school.

When I got to school it was just the usual routine. I stopped at my locker got some textbooks and put my lunch box away.

At p.e. It was climbing the rope day or whatever. I wasn't scared but a lot of people were, so I felt kinda good because I was actually good at something for once.

Everybody sat around in a circle and a few people went up. Before I knew it I raised my hand and climbed the rope. It was kinda easy to be honest.

All of sudden in the middle of class a girl walked in.

The girl was wearing bright purple lipstick, galaxy leggings, and a black leather jacket.

"Who the heck is that?" A lot of kids said and I thought in my head.

As she came closer I tried to be as friendly as possible.

"Hey, what's your name?" I heard myself saying.

"Hi I'm Audrey." She answered.

She seemed like a nice girl and I was hoping to get to know her better.
