Glancing at Brookes High, I couldn't believe we're doing this. Mom and Dad decided to move us to Tampa, Florida for what happened last year. I'm glad that we moved, but seriously! Tampa! The weather is like dry heat during the summer.
'I bet there aren't any forest here' I told my wolf.
Snorting she definitely agreed.
My family are rouges. The only reason why we aren't crazy or anything is because we are together. I have come across rouges who were a little wrong in the head, but we can't really do anything about that.
Looking back at my dad helplessly I pleaded with my eyes.
"Now Ellie, we know how much you hate going to school, but you need to do this," scolded my dad.
"Fine," I relented. "Love you Dad."
"Love you too, sweetie." With my dad driving away I looked back at the school.
This is going to be a long day.
Heading inside I noticed everyone starring at me waiting for me to explode or something. Shaking my head I headed down the hallway looking for the office. Aha. Entering the office I saw a little plump woman with glasses behind the desk.
Stepping forward I cleared my throat and said, "Hi, I'm Ellie Stevens."
Looking up she gave me a smile. "Hi, sweetie. Let me get you your schedule and you can be on your way." Handing me my schedule and my locker combination, she told me that it was right down on the hall. Waving goodbye, I stepped into the hallway. Noticing almost everyone was in class by now I quickly hurried to my locker. Noticing that I was heading in the wrong direction my the number codes I turned around and hit a wall. Stumbling back I felt a warm pair of hands steady.
"MATE! HE IS OUR MATE!" my wolf screamed. Looking up I saw that his black hair was light wavy and just settled above his left eye and his blue eyes are like crystal glass. He was about 6'1 is pretty tall for my 5'2 frame. Feeling sparks flying where he was touching me I couldn't believe I finally found my mate.
"Mine," he growled, pulling me to his chest. Wrapping his arms around me he whispered how much he was waiting for me. Burying my head in his chest, I inhaled his scent. Chocolate and roses. My favorite.
'Can't believe we found our mate!' squealed my wolf inside my head.
'Can you stop that? You're hurting my head with all that squealing.' I said.
'Fine,' she grumbled.
Ring. Ring. Ring. Shit. Pulling back from him even though my wolf protested I grabbed my books that fell on the floor.
"I need to go..." Running off without a backwards glance I headed down the hall. Realizing that he wasn't following me I searched for my class. I can't believe I found my mate after all these years of hell. He will probably run away when I tell him though. I won't blame him if he does so. He doesn't need someone like me, he needs someone better.
Getting tackled from the side I let out a little squeal. "Gotcha!" Without seeing the person's face, I already knew who it was from the sparks where he was touching. Pulling me back to his chest tightly as if I would run away again. "Why did you run away from me?" I couldn't help but notice the way he said it, that he was hurt. "Did I do something wrong? If I did, I'm so sorry for hurting you. I-"
"Stop..."
"Ian."
"Stop Ian. You weren't hurting me. Far from that," I said the last part a little bi more quietly.
"Then why did you run?"
"Because, class started," I replied back, nuzzling my head into his chest,
"Oh." Laughing I pulled back slightly. Damn he is hot. "We should go..."
"Oh yeah, sorry," he smiled sheepishly. Letting me go he picked up my books this time and held my hand. I couldn't help but grin like a love sick puppy. I was really surprised how perfect our hands fit together like a puzzle piece. Glancing up at him, I noticed that he was grinning like an idiot too.
"Wait," I said stopping in my tracks. "I don't have my schedule." Frowning I checked my pockets, but they came up empty, Looking up at Ian, he was holding my schedule. "How did you get this?"
"I stole it from you, when you ran into me."
Grabbing the schedule I glared up at him. "No, you ran into me."
"No, it was you."
"Well, lest agree to disagree." Shoving him playfully I grabbed his hand.
"Here you are," he said frowning at the door.
"Why you frowning munchkin?"
"Munchkin? Shouldn't you be the munchkin since you shorter than me?"
"Not in my play book."
"You are so weird," he mumbled to himself. Giggling I stepped away from him towards the classroom.
"I'll see you later," I said giving him a soft kiss on the cheek. Turning around grinning I left a very stunned Ian.
'He did not expect that,' said my wolf.
'No, he did not.'
