Trigger warning : Severe anxiety attack
Naisha
The bed is empty today, A lingering coldness over his side. The morning light filtering through the gauzy curtains, casting a warm glow on the empty bed.
I stirr from my slumber, my hand instinctively reaching for the spot where he sleeps . But instead of finding the familiar warmth of his body, I am encountered only with cool sheets. My eyes flutter open and I sit up, blinking in confusion.
I glance at the clock on the nightstand and realize that it is already past 9 am.
He must have left early for his meeting . A pang of disappointment washes over me. He must have been so quiet getting ready in the morning, so that my sleep isn't hampered.
" why didn't you wake me up?" I flop back onto the pillow, burying my face in the soft cotton that still holds the faint scent of his cologne.
I have been sleeping so well with him, I don't even remember the last time I got nightmares
"I miss you," I mumble into the pillow, nuzzling deeper. The bed feels so big and empty without him. With a soft sigh, I lean over, pulling his pillow closer to me.
" What will I do without you?" I nuzzle into it, my face sinking into the fabric that still holds his scent-a comforting blend of his aftershave and the lingering traces of his natural essence.
I sigh and roll over, plucking my phone off the nightstand to check for messages. There is a text from him, sent just a few minutes ago.
" Good morning Ara, wake up and have your coffee, I am in an important meeting, if you need me , call me and if you can't reach me give cedric a call "
I smile, my heart warmed by his words. Even hundreds of miles away, he still has a way of making me feel loved and connected. I type back a quick reply.
"I miss you so much. Hurry back to me. " Setting my phone aside, I reluctantly swing my legs over the side of the bed. As much as I want to languish under the covers, I need to face the day.
First things first - a large mug of strong coffee to fix my mood and then I get ready for university.

" Naisha I can't see anything" Kirti whispers beside me, yes , We are in our optics lab now. The pitch black dark room without an ounce of light makes us squint our eyes.
" Me too" I mumble back trying to make out something in the darkness
And suddenly the professor enters and switches on the sodium lamp
The air shimmering from the heat of the sodium lamp and the haze of smoke. It creates an odd visual effect, like looking through a thin gauzy filter. Occasionally a bit of smoke drifts across a laser beam, the particles casting a strange shadowed effect.
