Board Game Theory

Chapter 1

"Yes, I got the green car." she said as she laughed throwing her head back with joy over her accomplishment. She placed her car on the game board and smiled looking to the left. There sat a boy who smiled, his cheeks glowing. He slouched a bit. He moved his small fingers through his brown curly locks as he head later at a tilted angle.

"Do you think because you have the green one that your going to win?" He chuckled as he say her expression change from happy to confused. He gave her a small punch to the shoulder in a childish manner. He laugh as he places his blue car on the board next to hers. Locking his deep brown eyes on hers and whispers " .. I was kidding Delilah, it was a joke."

She laughs and spins the wheel on the game board of LIFE. " Ha ha, I knew that." she says in a sarcastic manner. Her face began to glow as her dark brown strands of hair fell out of place.

Delilah and James were both adopted. Oddly they call them selves twins because they are the same age and have the same birthday. They look very different but enough to be related some way. Delilah didn't have much of a style the way James did. She wore what she found interesting or pretty, while most girl wore what they thought would get them in the popular crowd. She didn't care for that. James was different, he had a causal and relaxing style. He was a relaxed guy after all. 

Delilah moves her little green car across the board as she pick it up making it hop onto each space. Suddenly James' phone began to ring, quickly pressing ignore. Over and over again. Percy would't leave him alone for a moment. Percy was his best friend,wing man etc. 

Percy was a very weird sexual guy, he had a strange sense of humor.Not many people understood him especially girls.James didn't care he liked his stupid jokes no matter how gross they were. Percy was pretty tall and had sun kissed skin. His hair was black and he had think eyebrows,  a corny crooked smile and big brown eyes. 

"Shut up, oh my god" said James as he rolled his eyes throwing his phone onto the couch putting it on mute. He crossed his arms folding them into place but suddenly notices Delilah's eyes. He smiles weakly reassuring her that he was okay. "Sorry, Percy just won't leave me alone today. Something about a stupid party Ben is hosting while his parents are out of town. " He noticed her smile growing as she basically jumps over the game board begging on her knees.

"Please, please come on James we never get out, we are always playing stupid games. Can't we go? It would be-" quickly she was cut off by a groan.She stood up brushing her pants off.

"Fine..." he said as he leaned back closing his eyes. "But," he looks at her smirking his devilish smile at her, his eyebrow furrowing as he unfolds his arms. " Chores, for two weeks if we go."

"WHAT?!" she said as she stomped her foot. " I don't want to do all of that. i already clean our room, stop being so lazy" 

He laughs as he rolls his eyes and grabs his phone placing it in his pocket. Quickly shoves his hands into his pocket and smiles, "Oh my gosh, Delia" His nickname for her."I was kidding, if you really want to go to that stupid party we will go." 

She laughs as she runs up stairs into there room searching for something to wear. He pulls out his phone quickly texting Percy, "Be there with Delia in about 30 minutes. Meet me out front. "He sighs as he pulls on his jacket.

"Oh this is going to be a long night"he said groaning as he pulled on his shoes waiting by the door.
