Hurt.

Soobin was sitting alone while thinking about Beomgyu when Taehyun approached him.

"Still thinking about him?"

Soobin sighed as he nodded, finally putting his phone away.

"It's really stressing me out.. I thought I made my decision but now.."

Taehyun nodded as a sign of understanding.

"Well do you still love him?"

Soobin thought for a moment, does he still love Beomgyu? Yes. But not as a partner, he still cares and loves for him of course...but as a good friend.

"Yes. But not enough for me to run back to him."
"That's tough."

Suddenly, they heard the sound of books falling. They turned to the door, stunned to see Beomgyu and Hueningkai standing there. Hueningkai's mouth was wide open, books scattered around him. He looked hurt, yet there was something in his eyes. Rage.

Before both of them could react, Hueningkai was gone. Bumping into someone on his way out yet he didn't bother to look back.

"Huening-ah!"

Beomgyu gave both of them a hard glare before turning back to run after Hueningkai.

"God Hueningie! Please stop!"

He reached out to grab Hueningkai's arms before turning him around to face him. But there was a droplet of rain on Hueningkai's cheek. No.. His eyes were bloodshot, with a small pout on his lips. It was tears, he was crying. Hueningkai was crying.

"Huening-ah.."

Hueningkai immediately buried himself into the older's embrace. He wasn't someone who's been hurt at least once a month like his best friend, and this completely destroyed him. He wasn't used to this, how could he? His life was rainbows and unicorns.

"Hyung.. I'm so hurt right now.."
"Shh.. it's okay. They might not be dating.. they were just talking right?"

Beomgyu reached his hand up before slowly wiping away Hueningkai's tears with a small thumb. Was this how his mom felt? Like the worst mom ever for letting someone break her son like that? He finally felt it, he was hurt too.. for his best friend.

Yeonjun looked at his school map since his so-called helper was once again, gone.

"Let's see.. math."

Just why? He sighed as he made his way to the class, not forgetting to double check before entering.

"Yep.. math class."

Suddenly, he felt someone bumping into him against his shoulder, making him fall onto the floor with a hard thud.

"Ah! Gosh.."

He turned around to check if the other person was okay but to his surprise, no one was beside him.

Taehyun immediately ran towards him after snapping himself out of his thoughts. He kneeled down by his side before murmuring something. His voice laced with a mixture of concern and guilt.

"Hyung! Are you okay?"
"Y-yea I'm fine.. I think."

Taehyun looked back, Hueningkai's books were still on the floor. He slowly went over before starting to pick them up. Why did he react that way?

"Okay class. Today we will be-"
"Mrs Smith! Beomgyu and Hueningkai aren't here."

The teacher glanced at their empty seats before fixing her glasses.

"Does anyone know where they are?"

Silence. Taehyun was sitting quietly at the back of his class, clearly not paying attention since his mind was somewhere else.

"Taehyun-ssi."

Taehyun finally snapped out of his thoughts at the mention of his name. He looked at the teacher with a confused look before standing up.

"Yes?"
"Any idea where Beomgyu and Hueningkai went?"

Taehyun shook his head before speaking again.

"No, Mrs Smith."

The teacher raised an eyebrow before finally shrugging it off.

"They're probably just in the bathroom or something."

Taehyun nodded as he slowly sat back down. Glad that the teacher didn't question any further, yet he could wonder the same thing. Where did they go?

As every minute passed, worry and concern started bottling up inside him. He just wanted to find the younger and make sure he was okay. Why were they taking so long?

Knock Knock.

The door slowly opened before a small head peeked in. Beomgyu. But where's Hueningkai?

The door opened completely, revealing both of them. Hueningkai looked down while entering, trying to hide the fact that he had been sobbing. Lucky for him, no one seemed to notice, well.. except for one person.

Taehyun's gaze followed him as he slowly went to his seat. Why was he crying?

Ring! Ring!

Everyone immediately cheered as they started stuffing everything into their backpack. Classes were finally over.

Taehyun slowly approached Hueningkai before tapping his shoulder gently.

"Hey.. are you okay?"

Hueningkai turned around as his eyes widened in surprise.

"Y-yea I'm fine.."

Taehyun let out a small smile before handing him his books.

"You dropped these."

Hueningkai looked down at his stack of books, embarrassed. He quickly took the books before mumbling a small thank you.

"I just wanted to make sure you're oka-"

Before he could finish, Hueningkai already ran out of there. Taehyun looked down, a small plushie keychain. He slowly picked it up before holding it up to inspect it. Yep.. definitely Hueningkai's.

I really just wanted to focus on tyunning this chapter. And heads up, there's gonna be a VERY interesting plot twist coming in the next few chapters.. so stay tuned and keep your eyes open for more updates eeeek🫣😭
