-is long time friends with Duke and Roadblock

-can summon her fire sword

Background:

Mom died when i was 2, Dad was in the military, when he died in the line of duty I decided to join the military. I knew Roadblock and Duke from when I was little because we were childhood friends until my dad died when I was 12 and I moved into foster care. Duke and Roadblock had a special nickname for her that no one could call her except for them and that nickname was Ash.

Chapter 1

Ashley's POV-

Enemy soldiers were shooting at me and my team, in the distance I hear a helicopter. I duck behind a wall and look towards Mills, a soldier but also my friend, "We need to find cover!" I shout over the gunfire.

He nods and starts to run over to a building, I hear a gun get cocked, I look behind me and see there is a enemy soldier with a sniper aimed for Mills. "Mills!", I scream and start to run for him but it's to late, the enemy had already shot him in the head.

I run over to his body and kneel down, "I'm so sorry" I whisper to him while taking his dog tags and put them on my neck. I'm about to get up when a grenade gets thrown towards me, before I can react it explodes and sends me flying into a brick wall. I slowly get up and look around with ringing in my ears and see with horror in my eyes, all of my team being shot and killed. I slowly limp back behind a wall and watch as they checked every body then packed up and left.

Once they were out of sight I slowly walked out of my hiding place and over to the bloody scene, I cry out in anguish and fall to me knees. 'This is all my fault, I was the leader, I should have protected them, I have powers! Yet I still let them get killed'. I was pulled out of my thoughts by a black aircraft landing in front of me, I slowly got to my feet and got into a fighting stance. I use my power of the elements to set my hands on fire.

I was about to shoot down the plane when I man all in a black armor-like suit jumped down behind me. He had a katana in his hand, he tried to attack me but I used my speed to run behind him and kicked him down. He quickly got up and kicked my legs out from under me, I growled and summoned my fire sword. I jumped in the air and clashed with his sword, he dodged my attacks and I dodged his.

Time Skip (20 mins later of fighting)

After a while of fighting and both of us dodging and getting hit by each others attacks, we were stopped by 4 more people jumping out of the aircraft. I immediately went into a attack stance with my hands on fire, the man I was fighting went and joined the group. I was about to attack them when I heard something I thought I would never hear again, "hey Ash".

Duke and Roadblock.
