Nayantara's pov

Slowly and steadily I flutter opened my eyes as I looked around. I was in my chamber, laying on the bed. I looked beside me and saw Maasa sitting with her head rested against the headboard, her eyes closed as she slept in an uncomfortable position. Even in her slumber, Maasa's hand rested on my head, gently caressing it.

I tried to sit up by taking support of the bed but failed as I fell back on the bed feeling weak.

"Nayantara"

Maasa's voice reached my ears as I looked up towards her, she sat up straight and looked at me with a relief. Then she touched my arm and back and helped me to lay in half sitting position on the bed.

She cupped my cheek and immediately engulfed me in a hug.

"Are you fine? Do you even know how much worried I was when I got to know someone kidnapped you."

She said as her voice came muffled meant she was crying. I hugged her back too feeling the motherly love radiating from her body.

"I… I am fine Maasa"

I said weekly, she pulled out of the hug and looked at me then kissed my forehead gently.

"Thank god! You are safe now."

She said, and suddenly

"Nayantara"

Shivangi jiji's voice reached our ears, and we looked at her coming towards us. She instantly sat beside me as she hugged me too.

"When did you wake up? And are you fine now? Are you feeling any pain? Tell me , I'll call the physician."

As soon as we pulled out of the hug, She showered me with her question as she looked at me worriedly.

I nodded at her while smiling weakly.

"Yes, I'm fine now jiji. No need to call the physician."

I replied, even though I was feeling a little pain in my entire body. But it was normal after what I went through last day.

"Wait, the physician asked me to give you food as soon as you wake up."

She said as she clapped for two times. An attendee came inside and jiji told her to bring food for me. It was already night. As I looked around the chamber and saw dark blue sky through the window.

Then she asked me about the incident as I told her and maasa everything. How they attacked us when we were returning from my kingdom then how they kidnapped me and said a lot of bad things to me. After listening to me, they both got angry but then calmed down when I told them about Anirudh coming at the right time and how he killed him in front of me.

It was shocking for me when I saw Anirudh in that way. I never saw his that side, which was dark. I was used to seeing his gentle side, where he was sweet, caring, lovable, and possessive for me. But last night I saw his another side, his dark side. It was not like I didn't like it or I was afraid of him after seeing him behaving like a madman. Because I knew that his dark side was only for the people who were bad to him and his family and kingdom.

As I thought about him, I couldn't help but feel his absence. I wanted to see him, and he was not here. I looked at jiji as I hesitatingly asked.

"Umm.. jiji yeh kaha hai?"

She looked at me as a smile broke on her face.

"He was with you since the morning and even refused to leave your side for a second, but Tausa had to urgently go back to his kingdom, Vijaygarh, due to some work. So Anirudh went to bid him a farewell."
