I sighed and sat with my back against a couple of lockers. I hid my face in my arms and tried to keep from crying. I hated this. I hate everyone. Why me? I would often think about things like this. I wiped the tears that had left my eyes and stood up. I grabbed my tote bag and walked off of school campus. I didn't care if I got suspended. I just wanted to be away for a while.
I looked around a grocery store for something to bring home for diner. I picked up a few boxes of mac and cheese, sausage, corn on the cob and potatoes. I headed out of the aisle I was in. I remembered being bumped into and falling to the ground. I landed on someone and looked up. My eyes widened at the sight of him. "Andy? It's been a while." I said quietly as I sat up. He looked at me, slightly confused until he realized who I was. "Is that you, Destiny? I didn't recognize you with your hair and make up." He said as he moved my bangs out of my eyes. I moved his hand away and got up, looking the opposite way of him. "What's wrong?" He asked as he gave me a concern look. "I just don't like to be touched. It's nothing really." He shook his head. "Who did this to you? It not like you to be like this. I missed your smile, the happy look in your eyes and the innocent girl you are." He said as he helped me pick up my groceries. "Innocent girl?" I asked quietly before seeing him nod. "Yeah." I shook my head. "That girl is gone. She's been gone for 5 years. She won't come back." I said before walking by him. "I'll see you around." I paid for the groceries and headed out the door, leaving a stunned Andy standing there, watching me. I sighed and drove home.
