"Three minutes, Bhaiyu." Andy's voice rang in Arjun's ear. "Just three minutes. Get the moron talking. Do something."
Arjun could hear the panic in Andy's voice. He felt the same. It was not a choice that anyone could make.
"Come on, Phoenix. We don't have all day." Lucifer drawlled. "The clock is ticking away. Make a choice."
"There is no choice to make." Ashok's voice rang loud and clear. "Shoot, Maan. It would be an honor to die in the hands of the Phoenix. Shoot without regrets. Abhi is only a child."
"No, dad" Abhi hugged Ashok, his eyes filling with tears. The very thought was unbearable. "Please don't say that."
Ashok's eyes misted with tears. The boy had held back until the very last moment. He wished they had a few more minutes to cherish. Ashok let go of his apprehensions and embraced the boy in his arms. "You are a brave boy, Abhi. You will make an amazing soldier." He cupped Abhi's face and gently wiped the tears from his eyes. "One day, you will outshine the Phoenix. You will soar high and achieve all your dreams. You were named after two brave warriors, but one day they will be proud that you have taken their name. That is a father's trust. I am very proud of all my children, I am honored that all of you are warriors."
