Hey everyone! Just a heads up there's smut in this chapter. Like actual details this time around. I will be put some ~~~~ where it starts. The chapter is mad late because I was going back and forth between including smut. This is my first time writing details and I cringed the entire time 😂
Also, Billie is coming back to Vanity Fair! I'm so excited and I can't wait to watch it! Not only that! Her Tiny Desk concert goes live tomorrow 🤗🫶🏽

Billie's POV
The lights on set are blinding, the air charged with a nervous energy that feels almost electric. I'm deep into filming another scene for Swarm, and I can't lie—it's exhilarating. This role is nothing like anything I've done before, and I'm fully immersed, giving it everything I've got. But no matter how focused I am, part of my mind is always back home with Lena.
Between takes, I grab my phone. There's a text from Lena letting me know she's doing okay at the hotel. It's a relief, but something about her message seems a little...off. She's usually so warm, but tonight her tone feels distant. I try to shake off the worry as the director calls for another take.
Hours later, we're finally wrapping up for the night. I'm in the makeup trailer wiping away layers of makeup and sweat when my phone buzzes again. It's a notification from our home security system—a movement alert near the front door. My heart skips a beat as I quickly open the app. Nothing looks out of place at first glance, but the timestamp shows the motion happened hours ago. Why didn't I get the alert sooner?
I FaceTime Lena immediately. She answers on the second ring, her face lighting up my screen. Seeing her helps calm my nerves, but I can tell she's exhausted.
"Hey, how's my favorite actress doing?" she teases, a small smile tugging at her lips.
"Better now," I admit. "How was your day? The hotel treating you okay?"
"It's fine," she says, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "But...weird thing. Jax stopped by the house earlier, and he said something felt off. He didn't go inside, though. Just...I don't know. It's probably nothing."
The knot in my stomach tightens. "Lena, that's not nothing. Did you check the cameras?"
She shakes her head. "Not yet. I thought I'd wait until morning."
"Don't wait. Log in now. Please." My voice is firm but tinged with worry.
She nods, grabbing her iPad and logging into the app. The screen reflects in her eyes as she scrolls through the footage. Her expression hardens, and I know she's found something.
"Billie," she says, her voice shaking. "There's someone at the door...around 2 a.m. They're wearing a hoodie. They don't go inside, but they're definitely trying to...I don't know, mess with the lock?"
