I'm just a school boy, I signed up with my brother because I didn't want him to get hurt, I even had to lie about my age and say I was 18. I'm not even fighting with my brother. I shouldn't have come here It's so dark and scary in the trenches, I want to be home with my family. 5am- I need to be on high alert and get ready if there is and attack so far two men dead in this trench I wonder how my brother is doing? 7am- I heard my brother is fighting a bad disease I don't know if he is dying or not. I want to be with him but I can't I'm stuck here defending a war that I don't even know anything about. Day 28- rats are infesting the trench they are the size of cats and everyone has a bad case of lice. I want this putrid war to end and to top it all off my brother is dead, I don't want to end up like him.
