Chapter 18

Mia's pov:

I was in my room, drowning in the endless songs of my playlist. I was listening to "All in my head"(video on top) when I got a text from Fabian. I was surprised he texted me, he should be out with his new girlfriend. I opened it anyway.

Fabian:
Mia, can we talk about it?

Me:
Okay

Three seconds after it sends I get a call from him."Mia?" "Who else?" I say happily after hearing his voice. "Are you going to hang up on me this time?" "No, that was Amparo." "Oh, she was pretty pissed at me today." I could hear Hector's laugh in the background. "Um, what did you want to talk about?" "I know you know about me and Natalia, but I already broke up with her." "Didn't you guys just get together?" "Yeah, but I saw her making out with a friend." "Feels bad, huh?" "I'm really sorry about that." "Either way, why did you kiss her Saturday?" "I didn't leave with you because I was just shocked. I was dumb enough to forget Hector called Natalia, Talia sometimes so I should've known whose party it was. And I kissed her because I saw Rodrigo walking your way and I-I don't know. I blanked out. I'm sorry, I really am." I heard shuffling on his end and someone yell," No!" "Mia. I know he can be a dick at times but, please forgive Fabian." "I will, Hector." I heard shuffling again and someone yell,"Ow!" "Um, sorry about that." "Don't worry but, you should ask him what my answer was." Knowing Hector, he'd say no first, watch Fabian get sad, then he'd laugh his ass off, then finally tell Fabian the truth. "Oh, please forgive me Mia." I decided to play along. "Nope." I heard Hector's laugh. "She's just kidding bro." I heard Hector say, the Fabian said. "Fuck you guys!" "Hey, just cause you want to." I teased. I knew Hector heard because he started laughing again. "So will you be my girlfriend, again?" "Yes." "Woohoo! I loove yoou! Come to my house?" "Don't you think we're moving too fast? Just kidding, I'll be over in a few." I hang up and turn around to see Amparo leaning on my door frame, smirking. She took her phone out of her pocket and showed it to me.

Hector:
THEY ARE BACK TOGETHER. YAY! WE CAN GO ON DOUBLE DATES AGAIN, WELL WE STILL COULD'VE BUT I WOULDN'T HAVE GONE IF NATALIA WENT. THEY ARE BACK TOGETHER!!! YAY!!! Do you want to come over to Fabian's house?

Amparo told Hector we would be over as soon as she finished her homework. I practically did it for her and I told my mom we were going to Fabian's house. She looked surprised but, gave me permission. We walked to his house and I knocked on the door. Joy, Fabian's mom, answered the door. She pulled me into a tight hug. "I'm sorry Fabian made you go through that. He can be really stupid sometimes." "It's alright." "He is lucky to have a girl like you Mia. They are in his room." "Thank you."

We walked to Fabian's room and found about to shoot each other with water guns. Amparo ran to Hector and Fabian squirted some water at her. She fell to the floor and pretended to be dead. "Shouldn't you guys do this outside." I said, smiling at Fabian. He went over to me and hugged me, tighter than his mom. "Thank you for forgiving me and for giving me another chance. I promise you won't regret it."

We went to his backyard. Fabian handed Amparo and I each a watergun. Stephanie and her boyfriend showed up and we handed them a watergun as well. Once we were all set we started the game, girls against guys.

After about two hours, the girls won because the boys would shoot each other. We were all soaking wet and Joy wouldn't let us in because we would get everything wet. She just brought us a bunch of fluffy towels.

Third person pov:
Once they dried up, Amparo and Hector left. Steph and her boyfriend left after diner. Mia and Fabain went back to their usual routine, where Mia would spend the night at Fabian's or Fabian would spend the night at Mia's. Their parents were happy they were together again. They were each other's support system, they were each other's other half.

This is the night Fabian realized as he was laying next to a sleeping Mia, that him and Mia weren't some high school couple. They were meant to be and he wanted to do something for Mia to prove that they weren't just a high school couple. He knew they were to young but he planned to give her a promise ring in a few years. He just hoped it would be be before she found someone better than him.
