"Randheer, here are the keys to the mansion!" Sangeeta extended the keys toward him. "What do I do with them? Not like I'm coming back later, maa." he shrugged nonchalantly.
"Not you, but we," Nakul interjected firmly. "Huh?" Randheer furrowed his brows in confusion.
"Yes, your mother, Rashmi, and I are going to visit your aunt. She fell from the stairs and has suffered multiple fractures," Nakul explained.
"Sab ke kaam mein taang adati thi, Bhagwan ne taang hi tod di?!" Randheer quipped sarcastically.
(She always meddled in everyone's work; God broke her leg instead!)
Nakul shot him a warning glare, but Sangeeta's motherly smile softened the moment.
"We'll be back in two days, okay?" "Maa, I'm not a kid. Don't worry." He shrugged as Sangeeta patted his cheek affectionately before stepping away.

"Papa, my tickets have been confirmed. I'm leaving tomorrow evening." Parthvi informed Veer as everyone sat together late at night, discussing the engagement ceremony.
"Where are you going, dear?" Sangeeta asked curiously. "Aunty, my last semester is starting in three days so I'll be heading back to the hostel." she replied politely.
Sangeeta nodded in acknowledgment, but Nakul chimed in, "You're studying in banaras, right? How many times I asked your father to send you to our place, inspite of having your own place you had to live in hostel!" Parthvi nodded silently.
"Then why travel separately? Why don't you both leave together? Randheer is leaving in the morning." Sangeeta suggested.
Parthvi looked at her parents and then at Nakul and Sangeeta, unsure whether to agree or not.
"Randheer is leaving in the morning only?" Sumitra asked.
"He has work, so he'll leave early. We'll leave by noon." sangeeta clarified.
"The entire house will be empty on the same day, Didi!" Harshita said with an emotional sigh.
"Parthvi, jaa ke Randheer ko bata do ki tum bhi uske saath hi niklogi!" Veer instructed.
(Parthvi, go and tell Randheer that you'll be traveling with him.)
Nodding reluctantly, she made her way toward his room.
