The lights went out due to the heavy rain, and I cursed under my breath. What happened to the inverter?

"Shit!" I rushed downstairs.

"Parthvi!" I shook her urgently. She was drenched in sweat.

"Utho na, Parthvi, utho gulla... please!" Desperation seeped into my voice as I rubbed her cheeks and pulled her close to my chest.

(Wake up, Parthvi, wake up,gulla..... please!)

Her eyes slowly opened as she gasped for air. I let out the breath I didn't realize I had been holding.

"Are you okay?"

She clung to me tightly, I rubbed her back to comfort her as she wearily nodded, trying to reassure me.

I picked her up in my arms, carrying her to my room.

I laid her down on the bed and opened the windows, letting the cool wind inside. Her gaze followed my every movement.

I lay on the other side of the bed, and her eyes widened. Was she expecting me to sleep on the sofa?

Sorry, gulla, but sleep is important.

"Theek ho na tum?" I don't know why I asked again, but there was silence between us.

(You are okay, right?)

"I'm fine, Randheer. By the way, are you worried?" she turned toward me, a mischievous glint in her eyes returning that caught me off guard.

"So jao chup chaap!" I retorted, closing my eyes.

(Sleep quietly!)

She giggled softly but didn't say anything more.

I tried to suppress my giggles, turning my back toward him to sleep, but different thoughts kept running through my mind

I tried to suppress my giggles, turning my back toward him to sleep, but different thoughts kept running through my mind.

I kept tossing and turning, not wanting to wake him up. He seemed to be sleeping peacefully.

The thunder and lightning illuminated the room, and a sense of relief washed over me.

I don't know what I had with Saransh, but what Randheer makes me feel is completely different.
