The first match was between some guy from another dojo and Miguel. Miguel won easily with a spin kick. "Point! Winner!" The referee said as he lifted Miguel's arm.The second match was between Tory and Devon, Arianna knew who was going to win. Tory obviously had more experience, and Arianna could tell she was going to win because she had analyzed her and Devon's fighting styles. Tory landed a "point" on Devon when she was, clearly, out of bounds. Arianna smiled, now this was really starting to get interesting, could this be a case of a paid-off ref? "Come on, ref! She was out of bounds! Where are your eyes?" Johnny Lawrence shouted. Tory and Devon went back to their places, "fight!"
Tory tried kicking Devon but she blocked it, and slipped to the other side. But it took a blocked kick from Devon for Tory to land another point on her. "Point! Winner!" The referee said as he lifted Tory's arm up.
"And with that, Eagle Fang's of winning Girls All Valley Champ have gone up in smoke." The announcer said.
It was now Demetri's match, he was fighting against some guy from another dojo. "Alexopoulos has Robson on the ropes." The announcer said. "Which of these fighters will advance? Miyagi-Do or All Star Karate?" Demetri blocked all of his attacks, and landed a point on the other guy.
"Point! Winner!" The referee said as he lifted Demetri's arm. "Newcomer Demetri Alexopoulos is heading to the semis!"
Arianna knew that Eli was up next, she decided to go motivate him before his fight while Moon and Alexander kept talking. Honestly, she had noticed that he seemed a bit discouraged and off.
But before she could approach him, a group of Cobra Kai students approached him first. "Your friend's lucky he didn't have to face Cobra Kai," Kyler told Eli. "Can't say the same for you though, Lip." Kyler said, pointing out Eli's scar. Arianna hated obnoxious people like him. Kyler and his little friends began walking away. "Gonna make you kiss that mat."
Arianna scoffed as she walked towards Eli, "You know, I usually don't like seeing people get hurt. But do me a favor, and kick his obnoxious ass." Arianna told Eli.
"I want to...But, I don't think I can..." Eli stammered, with an unsure look on his face.
"Eli, you may think that a haircut defines, that it defines how people perceive you...But, trust me, that's not true." Arianna said, she began stepping closer to him. "You're skills are undeniable, and I know you can win against this Kyler guy. Actually, I believe you can win this tournament." Arianna smiled.
Eli's expression began softening into a slight smile, "You do?"
"Of course, I do." Eli loved the way Arianna had so much confidence in him, the way she believed in him, and the way she was so sweet and gentle towards him. Eli thought Arianna was pulling him in for a kiss, but it was actually for a hug. He wrapped her his arms around her and held her tightly, breathing in her sweet scent, warm and sweet vanilla. It reminded him of how deeply he yearned for her attention.
"Next up in the quarterfinals, it's Kyler Park of Cobra Kai versus Eli Moskowitz of Miyagi-Do." The announcer said. Arianna pulled away from Eli, "Well, it looks like you have a fight to win." Her lips curled into a smile, before stepping away from Eli to go back to her seat. Eli watched Arianna walk back to the bleachers, he knew he had to win, for her.
Eli and Kyler bowed to each other. "Ready? Fight!" The referee said.
Eli went in for a kick, but Kyler dodge it with confidence. Arianna noticed that Eli was using offence, instead of defense, which she thought was great. A sharp strike to Kyler's lower abdomen, landed Eli a point. "Point!" The referee called out.
Arianna clapped her hands, excitedly. Kyler lunged at Eli and got a kick to his stomach. "Point!" The referee said as Kyler groaned out of anger. Arianna's lips curved into a satisfied smile, she really hadn't know how much she could enjoy fights without actually being in them.
Kyler tried lunging at him again, but Eli moved faster and Kyler got a kick to his chest, knocking him to the ground. "Point! Winner!" The referee said as he lifted Eli's arm. Eli looked over to where Arianna was sitting, she was clapping her hands excitedly, and had a proud smile on her face.
"Our next quarterfinal match will be Samantha LaRusso of Miyagi-Do Karate versus Piper Elswith of Cobra Kai." The announcer said.
Piper began attacking, Sam blocked her attacks with ease. But then, Piper landed a kick near Sam's eye. Arianna sighed out of frustration, gosh, all of this fighting was seriously bringing out anger from deep inside her. "Go, Piper, go!" Kyler cheered.
Arianna noticed the shift in Sam's stance, and surprisingly enough, Sam attacked first. Moving to fast for Piper to block her attacks. Sam landed a kick near Piper's shoulder. "Point LaRusso!" The referee said.
Piper's once strong confidence had changed, she looked around, unsure of herself. "Fight!" The referee said. But before Piper could do anything, Sam kicked her in the face, sending her jolting back. "Point LaRusso!" The referee called.
Sam grabbed Piper's leg mid-kick and swept her other leg, causing her to lose her balance and fall. Sam then landed a point my striking Piper's chest. "Point! Winner!" The referee said. Sam smiled confidently as she looked back at Tory.
The next fight was between Robby and Kenny, two Cobra Kai students, now Arianna was really interested in this fight. Instead, she was busy texting Mei on her phone about Alexander and Moon.
"For our final quarterfinal match, we have a real snake fight. It's Cobra Kai versus Cobra Kai." The announcer said. Arianna could care less about the match and wasn't really paying attention, but next to her, Alexander was watching carefully.
When they were younger, Arianna and Alexander traveled to Beijing, so that Alexander could learn Kung Fu. And he was pretty skilled, but his passion for Kung Fu didn't really last long. After their team got their ass kicked by a foreigner at a Kung Fu tournament. One of his friends was Lu Weicheng, Mei's older brother, which was how she and Arianna met.
Anyway, Robby Keene ended up winning the match, by giving Kenny Payne a nose bleed. Now, it was finally time for the semi-finals. "And now our first semi-final match will be Miguel Diaz of Eagle fang versus Eli Moskowitz of Miyagi-Do." The announcer said.
Miguel and Eli did a quick little handshake before bowing to the referee and then to each other. It really wasn't predictable to tell who would win this fight, both Miguel and Eli moved fast, blocking each other's attacks. Miguel kicked Eli, but he blocked it fast enough, but still fell to the ground. "No point, that's a block. Continue!" The referee said.
Miguel was going to do a flying tornado kick, Alexander used to do those a lot when he was in Kung Fu, but Arianna noticed he was doing it wrong, he was doing it inverted. He fell to the ground, right on his back. The crowd erupted into gasps and shocked looks as Miguel groaned in pain.
"Medic!"
