Christmas in the Wasteland is like no other time of the year. Everywhere is magical. From the elite Tenpenny tower to the lowliest Raider hole, nowhere does it go uncelebrated. Every place in the Wasteland has their own unique customs and ways of celebrating the happiest day of the year.
In luxurious Tenpenny Tower, for example, the elite class of the post-apocalyptic society celebrate with feasts and shopping. In the few remaining Vaults, the underground cities celebrate with decorations and gift giving. In the town of Megaton, the Church of Atom puts on an annual play explaining why it is especially important to remember Atom in the festive season. Similarly, the people of Rivet City attend morning church services every Christmas to celebrate the day. Even the Raiders of Evergreen Mills spend all of Christmas Eve and Christmas away from their Chems, and they gather around fires to tell Christmas stories and sing old, Pre-War Christmas carols. Why, it's rumored that even the most vicious of Super Mutants and Ghouls are kinder on Christmas, as if their humanity may be shining through ever so briefly. Yes, no part of the Wasteland goes untouched by the magic of Christmastime.
So the next time you're wandering through the Wasteland in December, pay close attention. You just might see some Christmas magic.
