CHAPTER 18: CHASING THE WEASEL

Judy's POV
" ........huh? Where....am i?"

I found myself laying on the road. Damn... when was the last time that i have been unconscious for? I groaned and get up slowly. My eyes look left and right. Where's everybody? Looks like it's just only me here. I start to find somebody else in this foggy city.

" Hello? Is somebody in there? HELLO? Nick? Clawhauser? EVERYONE!?" i call their name loudly but there's no response. Heck, what happened in this town? Everything is cold and foggy!

HEHEHEHE!!!

" Huh? Who's there!?" I suddenly hear a chuckling noise of kids. I don't know why but it sounds like Kyle, and what is he doing here? he's must be in there... So i took out the flashlight from my pocket and turn it on. While I was walking on the road, i accidentally stopped on something liquid. When i look at, i was froze in fear. Is that blood!? Whose blood is this!?

" Oh my god... what could be..." I was so scared but my guts said to follow the trails of blood. In the moment, i saw a shadow from my distance. A tiger cub holding and walking along with the unknown dark figure. Wait....is that Kyle? What's he doing in there? And...who did he go with?

" Kyle, stop!" I tried to call him but he ignored me.
" Hehehe....we are friends, right? So... where should we go?" Kyle talks with the unknown dark figure standing next to him.
" Kyle! St-" i was about to call him but they were disappeared into the fog. Urgh! Where did he go? I must follow him.

I was walking for a half hour. I wonder, who was that dark figure thing? And...did Kyle said unknown thing is " his friend?" I was about lost in thoughts but suddenly, i felt something very big followed me behind. When i turn and look behind, my eyes wide in shock and fear. A darkness shadow consume everything around and it's getting closer to me. with my heart beating fast, I ran all over the place. I tried to find a safe place to take shelter but everything around me gets consumed by the darkness shadow. I tried to running away from it but lucky got me when i reach the unlocked door at the cafe. It's only safe place that i look for! Once i get inside, i slammed close the door.

" Phew... that's was close...."
" Hehehehehe!!!"
" Kyle?" Kyle is here? How coincidentally he came here. I tried to turn on the lights but it wasn't working. I sigh and use my flashlight instead. I aim the flashlight at the direction to find him. I had no idea what's the purpose of this everything happened.

I was walking with cautious in this big cafe place. Everything stuff around here were scattered everywhere. It seems like that i was live in apocalypse world.

" Hehehe, you like it, don't you friend?"
" Oh my gosh!" What the hell was that sound!? I just heard something is eating and slurp something on flesh and i hear Kyle's voice too! I must find him before something bad happened to him. I feel like... he's NOT alone but with somebody else..

Looks like it was coming from over there. I decided to duck and sneak in silence behind the wall. When i reach the spot, i saw Kyle eating the spaghetti with the unknown mammal. Wait...is that...a raccoon? Like what Carl said? That raccoon wasn't look at me but facing to Kyle instead. They were having cheerful time with eat.

" Hehehe i know you may like it, friendo.."
" Kyle, what's going on here?" I interrupt them. I don't know why but i decided to take it seriously especially to that raccoon. Kyle's safety is number 1.
" Hai, miss Judy! I was having a dinner with my friend!"
" Friend?"
" Yeah! Look, he's a raccoon. Just two of us who only remained here. Maybe you can join us to have a dinner!"
" Thanks Kyle but i have other important issues now. Hey, you! Who are you? You know what happened in this town? And...why did you befriend someone else's child? Sir? Sir!?"
