Jungkook’s attention wasn’t on the conversation. His entire focus was on Minho, who was holding Suzy by her arm and leading her upstairs. Jimin, noticing this, asked, “What are you staring at so intently?”

In a weary voice, Jungkook replied, “I'm just thinking that people who hurt others don’t always face consequences for their actions. Look at Suzy. Even after betraying my brother, she ended up with someone who cares for her deeply and loves her immensely.”

“Are you wishing for bad things to happen to her?” Jimin asked.

“Not at all. Mom always says if someone wrongs you, you shouldn’t wish them ill in return. But sometimes, I can’t help feeling angry at Suzy. Why did she have to hurt my hyung?”

“So that I could have him,” Jimin said gently. “If she hadn’t betrayed him, he wouldn’t have thought about me or loved me. Maybe he came out of that fake love because he was meant to love me instead.”

“Yes, maybe he had to endure some pain to get something better. Thank you, Jiminie, for coming into my hyung’s life, for washing away all of his sorrows.” Jungkook said warmly.

“Enough of the compliments,” a deep, heavy voice interrupted. Both turned to see Yoongi standing behind them. He smirked and teased, “He has enough coriander in her home. No need to add more here.”

Jungkook smiled softly at the sight of Yoongi, while Jimin gave him a sharp glare and said, “Are you jealous because I’m getting thanked and not you?”

“Jealous? Of you? Why would I be jealous of a kid?” Yoongi replied with feigned amusement. Then, addressing Jungkook, he said affectionately, “Come here. Let me feed you. Keep your beautifully polished nails clean today.”

Without waiting, Yoongi pulled a plate toward himself. His heart had been unsettled since last night. A deep sense of love and worry for his little brother had been gnawing at him. His beloved, ever-cheerful baby, who had always been by his side, was about to get married and leave their home. If they lived in their area, Yoongi could have visited him at their family residence every day. But as a busy Minister, with endless meetings and responsibilities, living in the city of Seoul was Taehyung's reality now. He had already decided to bring Jungkook to Seoul with him a few days after the wedding for all time.

As Jungkook stuffed a piece of cake into his mouth, he made a gesture toward Yoongi, indicating something. Yoongi, noticing Jimin pouting beside him, extended a bite toward him and ordered firmly, “Open your mouth.”

Jimin’s heart skipped a beat at Yoongi’s gesture, an unfamiliar warmth spreading in his heart. How could he take food from Yoongi like this? A rush of forbidden shyness, like dry leaves fluttering into his mind, took hold of him instantly. Yet, under Yoongi’s commanding gaze, Jimin opened his mouth and ate the piece of cake. The food seemed to catch in his throat, and his eyes grew watery with emotion.

Yoongi placed the plate down, stepped closer, and offered a glass of water. As he gently patted Jimin’s head, he asked worriedly, “Is your throat burning? Did I not feed you properly? Are you in pain?”

Jimin, overwhelmed by Yoongi’s care, replied softly, “No, I’m fine. You should feed Jungkook now.”

Jungkook watched the heartwarming exchange with captivated eyes, touched by the bond between his brother and best friend. Just then, Yoongi’s phone rang. Taking it out, he handed it to Jungkook, saying, “Here, it’s your over dramatic husband calling. That’s actually why I came here, but I got distracted and forgot to tell you. Go and talk to him, baby.”

Jungkook took the phone and stepped out of the dining room, heading to his Aunt’s quiet room. Unlike the rest of the house, which buzzed with the chatter of guests, this room was immersed in silence.
