It's morning...
Oh right, I moved yesterday.
New school, why should I?
Awhile ago, my mom told me to finish school and make her proud, thats why.
But mom isn't here. She's dead.
I sat up in bed and stretched. I could hear the rain from outside, beating on the outside of the house. "Jane! The bus is gonna be here soon, don't wanna be late for the first day of school!" My dad yelled out. I wanted to stay where we were. Where mom was. Where my friends were.
But no, we had to move because of "adult buisness". I'm 16 and almost 17, i'm not just a kid to hide the bad from and shove happiness at. I put on my Pierce the veil shirt, some jeans, and slipped my shoes on. All my things like books and crappy phone are already in my bag so I don't need to pack anything. I sit down on my bed again, wishing I didn't have to go to school.
I look up and see a shadow of a boy in the corner of my room.
It/he has always been there. Ever since mom died a few years ago and ever since i've had trouble falling asleep. At night, I curl up and cower at the thought of something coming to get me like a child. Then I look up to see the shadow, telling me to

And I end up falling asleep almost instantly. It never fails and i've come to get used to and accept this weird shadow's occurance.
I'm sitting in a desk in my homeroom now. "We have a new student joining us today" the teacher announced, aiming it at me. "Jane, why don't you stand up and introduce yourself"
So i'm gonna have to stand up infront of the class now, aren't I..
I stand up at my desk.
"My name is Jane Tyle and I moved here from New Jersey"
And sat down, not wanting to be the center of attwntion any longer. I looked around and saw everyone had their own group. A group of basics wearing Hollister brand clothes and too much makeup. Then the group of nerds and geeks, computer techy people. Then I saw a group of 2 boys and a girl just talking.
Reminds me of my old friends in New Jersey. I lay my head down waiting for the bell to signal me to leave. A hand smacked on my desk.
I sat my head up and saw the girl from before with the two boys smiling at me. "So youre new? Me and my friends were wondering if you wanna hang out with us over there" She said pointing to the two boys.
"That's Ed and that's Jake. My name's Rose" she said pointing them each out."
Do I make friends with them?
Or should i kindly refuse...
She put her hand on her hip.
"Alright, alright. Think about hanging with us cool people and if you want to, meet us outside the school at 8pm, we're gonna hang out tonight" she said and left me, going back to the other boys.
All through school I thought about going with them.
Jake's P O V
Rose went over to that new girl and asked her to come hang with us. She seems odd but I guess it's the nice thing to do. I asked Rose what the girl had said.
"She said she needed some time to think. it's her firat day in a new school, far from home so she's probably just overwhelmed."
Yeah, probably just a little anxiety from all these new things. Apparently Rose had asked her if she wanted to hang with us tonight at the school.
We're planning to scope out the school's basement.
Rumor has it that two years ago, a kid got dared to go down there at night and never came back. It sounds pretty cliché but we wanna go check it out anyway.

It's 7:30 pm...
Im walking to the school.
I decided to go meet up with them just cause i'm gonna be living here awhile so why not try to make some friends.
I see them standing at the school door, waiting for me. Rose runs towards me and hugs me.
Alright, i'm kinda startled by that but she seems like one of those friendly people.
"Jane, this is Ed. He's really really funny" Rose said. I looked over at Ed. He has shaggy golden blonde hair and dark blue eyes. He smiled and waved at me. "I'm Eddy, nice ta meet ya!" He put his arm around my shoulder and nuzzled my face. I don't really like people touching my face, especially a boy who I just met.
I looked at him akwardly.
"Don't take his actions too seriously, Jane. He's a gaybee so he won't go after you or harm you" Rose said patting Ed's head like he was sone kind of dog. "Him over there, that's Jake." She pointed to the other boy. He had dark brown, almost black hair and bangs almost covering his right eye. "Sup, i'm Jake. The cool one of the group" he said, and Rose glared at him. "Yea, the cool one" she said.
After all the introductions, we hacked open the school's back doors and headed for the basement. We each brought a flashlight and headed down the dark, ominous stairs.
We all walked around inspecting all the old furniture.
There's a pile of old desks and tables covered in dust. I wiped one of the desks off to reveal many words and markings engraved into the desk.

I just figured it was some kid who wrote those things to freak people out and continued to walk around.
"Guys! I found a hole!" Jake yelled out. We all walked over to a big hole in the ground. It was pitch black and really deep down. When we shone the light of our flashlights into it, it was still pitch black.
"So who's going in first?" Ed asked, joking. Rose sat down, with her feet dangling down into the hole. Where her legs met the hole, they were all black. "Woah!" She exclaimed, ripping her legs from the hole. Jake reached his hand in and moved it around.
"Fuk that, i'm not going in there" he said and backed away from us and the hole. Ed and Rose stood next to the hole and bent back and forth, pretending to fall into the hole. "oh no! I'm falling into the aaabbbyyyssss!" Rose yelled. We all laughed. I stood up and looked at them "Careful, or else you'll really actu-" i started.
"ROSE!" We all yelled out as Rose fell backwards down the hole.
"ROSE NO!" Ed yelled, jumping fown after her. Jake and I bent down over the hole.
"ROSE! ED!" Me and Jake yelled, reaching our hands down.
"What do we do, Jake?!?" I called out. A tear formed in his eye.
I don't know what to do. I'm frozen in place. Jake stares down the hole.
That's when I jumped down the hole, dragging Jake down by the hand, with me. We both scream.
It feels like we've been falling for minutes. I'm still holding onto Jake's hand.
*THUD*
Ow... It feels like I just fell smack onto concrete...
I open my eyes to see a wooden board in front of me. I blink a few times and look next to me. I see Jake unconscious and I try to reach over and wake him up but im between to walls and can't completely rwach iver to him. I take the small pocket knife I have out of my pocket and start prying the wood apart thats infront of me. I climb out of the space I was in and lay on the ground. It's soft... Grass?
This is grass. I seem to be laying on grass, outside somewhere. I open my eyes and see more grass and a tree. There's a building here too.
Where exactly... Is here?
I stand up and see a boy laying against the tree. A willow tree.
I walk slowly and cautiously over to the tree and the boy.
He's wearing... A mask?
He has a blue mask overing his face. It's only blue with two black circles where his eyes would be.
I walk infront of him and stare at him. Is... He asleep? He must be or else he would have taken his mask off and said something to me.
"Who are you" the boy spoke.
I was kinda startled by him noticing me.
"uh well.. I'm Jane"
He looked didn't move from where he was before.
"I'm hungry." He said.
"well then sir, go get food"
He stood up and put his face/mask on my forehead.
"Well do you still have your kidneys?" He asked.
I fell backwards and noticed his hands were blood stained.
I got up and ran in the direction of where I had came from and where Jake still was.
I am scared...
Very scared...
Where am I?!
How did this come to be?!
Why did he ask about...kidneys?!
His hands were bloody!
I have to get Jake...
I have to get out of this weird hell!
