𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 a 𝑜𝑓 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 somewhere within the later 1800s, Women began to not only consider themselves as equal, but even more powerful than they were ever measured to be.

For thousands of years, women have quite literally ran the world. Giving life, protection, love, and power to themselves and others, the female race has provided many things.

Yet, for just as long, we have been deprived of rights, equality, and dignity all for what reason? For males to feel entitled, powerful, and overruling? Because of the stereotypes and discrimination against women?

Well, Mary-Rose would and will never stand for such things and neither should you. Male or female and everything in between, you deserve equal rights, equal treatment, and freedom.

The freedom of right and wrong, the freedom of choice and expression, and the freedom of speech.

Beneath her finger tips, lays a twelve year old boy, either unconscious, or dead. None of them knew other than his very weak pulse. The big question was, could they wake him?

"Now we've gotta wake him from the living dead," she nervously shifted on her feet, frowning and gazing at the unconscious boy laying limp against the wooden gurney.

Jack couldn't help but do the same, if Mary's experiment didn't come to work, they'd both be dead for having the paper boys life end—he's not just another paper boy, he's the victim of the Governor's carriage. This meant that if he dies, these two doctors would go along with him because the Governor would immediately blame it on them to save his own skin. This town has a messed up system. Certainly not something they needed on their hands. "Come on, Walter, boy—time to make sure we don't have our heads on a platter this evening," Jack gently shook the boy's shoulder, no sign of him waking any time soon.

Their anxiety kept rising by the passing minute, nothing was happening and they weren't sure if the boy would wake—ever.

But Mary-Rose believed in her father, she believed in his studies and most importantly, she believed in herself. So she took over, she clicked her fingers over the boys face, receiving no reaction whatsoever. Then she began flicking him, once again no reaction.

So, she picked up the pale of water by her foot, acting out the last idea she had. She poured the cold water over the boys chest, and he finally sat up in a fright.

Instant relief flashes over both the doctor's—maybe they won't lose their heads for this.

"Walter, son—how do you feel?"

His face had a light of recognition and he felt around the gurney, when his fingertips made contact with both of his legs, he froze. "You fixed my leg?"

"All thanks to this gal right here, lad," Jack tucked the girl into his side, she smiled at the boy who was quite literally lifeless mere moments ago.

Her cheeks flush at the immediate introduction that she—a woman has saved a child's life. It wasn't the first time however, it was the first time in front of two hundred other men. She wasn't used to the supervision, but she loved it. She was proud of the both of them.
