Chapter 21: Rescue Mission

AN: I've decided no more telepathy, since I keep forgetting that it exists. Also oh noes! Frost is kidnapped by Ink and Dream! At least they have Flame, when he wakes up, and Blue.

Flame POV:

"-l--e --k- u-. F-am- w--e up. Flame wake up!" I was startled awake by Frost in their fox form, shaking me. "Frost, calm down, what happened? And where are we?" "Calm down Frost, uh, as a fox... Nightmare, Error, and the others can't hurt you anymore, you're safe!" Oh. The Stars must have somehow escaped and brought Frost along with them, who brought me along. Luckily, we developed a sort of secret code that all forms of Frost can access, and it doesn't show for anyone else. "Frost, what happened? Is Blue here?" I asked. {We got back a few minutes before they escaped, and while the Stars were talking with Nightmare, Blue swapped positions with the copy and got rid of it. Then the Stars told Nightmare that they were going to fight to 'save' me, and Error got all of us into that blank AU Ink was going to use to ambush him, and we started fighting. You got knocked out, I scooped you up and tried to get you somewhere safe, but Ink scooped me up and escaped with Dream and Blue, so now I'm a prisoner in ours plus Blue's eyes, saved victim in theirs.} Oh. "Okay then, just don't talk to Ink or Dream, and if Blue asks anything, make sure that neither Ink nor Dream or any of their listening and watching devices are near before answering in a vague way. Blue will understand what you're trying to tell him, he's smart, unlike the others. I'm going to go talk to Blue now and try to convince him to convince Ink and Dream to let you go back." {Bye.} I flew away, hearing Ink make a bunch of confused noises, probably because Frost was still currently a fox and no one except those whom Frost allows can understand them when they're not in their skeletal form.

I kept flying around in search for Blue. Can I turn white? What if I burnt ice? Bananas are a berry. Strawberries aren't. Why aren't bananas called bananaberries and strawberries called red cones? It would make so much more sense. Or what if bananas were just called yellow berries. Sans looks like a cinnamon roll but could actually kill you. Papyrus looks like he could actually kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll. Undyne looks like she could kill you and could actually kill you. Alphys looks like a cinnamon roll and is actually a cinnamon roll. Toriel cannot be judged as she is too busy feeding you cinnamon rolls. A loophole around having to make a deal with Bill is just by telling him that deals are technically promises, and that he is a Sans, and sans Sanses hate making promises, Bill won't ma- "Uff!" What did I bump into? Oh, it's Blue! I flew around in front of him. "Hi Blue!" "Hello Flame! Is Frost okay?" "Yeah. Ink is trying to reassure them that they're safe now, but we know that Nightmare would never hurt us. Frost won't reply to anything Ink or Dream says, and if you say something, they're only replying after they triple check that Ink and Dream aren't present, nor are there any listening and watching devices in watching and listening range." "Good. We should probably tell Nightmare though. Are you able to summon Frost's summons as well or no?" "I can summon Frost's summons, but only one at a time." "That's fine, are you able to control where you summon them?" "Both me and Frost can, but Frost's is limited to a fifty foot radius around them; I can summon mine anywhere as long as there's enough space for them to stand and move around at least a foot in each direction, including jumping." "Alright. Summon a summon here right now, I'll make sure they don't alert Ink or Dream, tell them what they need to pass on, un-summon them, then summon them where Nightmare is and have them tell Nightmare the information. Then, have him open a portal to my house in Underswap, I'll meet him there and give him our base's location so they can rescue Frost." "And if Ink and Dream ask how they got here?" "Nightmare sensed Frost's dispair and got Error to portal here." "What if there are actually things that are supposed to block Nightmare from sensing emotions here?" "Just say that Error gave everyone heightened senses." "Alright. I'll summon Potion, sense he's a Gaster and Gasters are better at discussing things."

I summoned Potion, who was immediately muffled by Blue, and gave him information we needed him to give to Nightmare. After that, I un-summoned Potion and re-summoned him where Nightmare was. Did that count as teleporting? Possibly. I don't know though, since I can't tele- "Flame, Nightmare is at Blue's house, waiting for him. He's alone, so Blue goes alone for now." I must have zoned out. "Alright. Do you want to stay with me and Frost, stay with the Bad Sanses, go to Blue and Nightmare, or go back to the Summon Pocket?" "I suppose I would rather go to Underswap with Blue and Nightmare." "Alright then, go with Blue into his portal." Blue opened a portal to his house in Underswap and left with Potion following, the portal closing soon after. I went back to Frost and we started a conversation after I told them what was going on.

Nightmare POV:

This is bad. Frost just got taken by the Stars, and Flame was brought along with Frost. Frost can't teleport, and neither can Flame, so they can't just teleport back. We can't summon Frost's summons, so we can't get them to get Frost back. Sci is in his AU, since he's still needed, and so is Forest. Potion and Flower are hanging out in the Summon Pocket. Error just crashed since Frost was like his anchor, giving him a little more mental stability and something to keep living for other than saving the multiverse. (Basically besties to the point that Error would kill himself for Frost.) I need coffee. Ccino doesn't like us, and we are too unstable right now to contact any of our allies to get beverages for us like usual. I wish Ccino would just see that we aren't all that bad, and just give us a chance. If even Blue could do that, I don't know why Ccino couldn't. He's got cat versions of everyone, and each cat acts like their respective person. Surely he noticed that our cats were constantly being driven away for doing nothing. Or did he simply kick them out? Actually, does Flame have a cat? Both Phantom and CC have been coded so that they're visible, and Dust and Cross's cats have Phantom and CC as cats floating around. Others don't seem to see them though. Does that mean that only the ones who can see Flame can see his cat? I need some coffee. "Excuse me, you are Nightmare, correct?"

Oh. It's Potion. OH THANK GOODNESS IT'S POTION. "Wait, how did you get here?" "Flame can also summon us summons, but is limited to one at a time since he can summon us anywhere that lets us move a foot in each direction as well as jump. Frost is limited to a fifty foot radius, but can summon as many as he wants. Anyways, Flame and Blue sent me here to tell you *insert information that Blue and Flame want to tell Nightmare cuz it's a lot I definitely didn't forget and have no idea how to word it definitely not nope not at all*. Also they request that you meet with Blue at his house in Underswap. Goodbye." With that, Potion teleported away. "BOYS I'M GOING TO UNDERSWAP, BLUE ASKED TO MEET ME THERE. SINCE HEARTS IS HERE, HEARTS IS IN CHARGE; DON'T BURN THE CASTLE DOWN, I'LL SEE YOU LATER." A chorus of 'bye dad's can be heard. I chose to ignore them and instead enter my portal to the Underswap bros house. I entered, and, not very surprisingly, was met by Stretch on the couch. "Hi Stretch; is Blue here?" Just as I asked, another portal opened and out came Blue and Potion. "OH THANK GOODNESS NIGHTMARE INK AND DREAM ARE TRYING TO GET FROST TO ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS AND FROST IS GETTING BORED FLAME TOLD ME THAT FROST DOES THINGS THAT COULD POTENTIALLY INJURE THEMSELF WHEN THEY'RE BORED!!!" "What I got from your outburst just now is that you want me to go rescue Frost." Potion decided to step in, which was very useful right now.

"Yes, Blue and Flame thought that if they told you where Frost was, you could go and rescue them. If there was something that didn't let you sense emotions, then pretend Error got rid of that, you sensed the emotions, and then Error got you all there. It would be preferable if you could go within the next 15 minutes; Frost seems to have a strong bond with Error and is now panicking since they seem to be each other's anchors in life." Seems like we're going to fight them. "Alright, we'll head over in half an hour, the others need time to calm down. Will Frost be alright for an extra 15 minutes? If not I'm fine dragging emotionally unprepared skeletons over to distract the Stars while rescuing Frost." Blue gathers himself. "We would prefer for you to arrive within the next 15 minutes, but if I keep Frost busy I think they can survive not harming themselves for another 10 minutes. The last 5 minutes I'll be trying my best to get them to do something that doesn't hurt themself, but I can't guarantee that it'll work." "Alright. You'd best go now; I'll tell the Bad Sanses what's going on so we can go rescue Frost." And with that, I left for my castle. It was time to save Frost.

I'm concerned on how I'm going to end this book; most books that have someone reincarnated as a Sans are either discontinued, on HAITUS, or still ongoing.
