Not Today [ a tyler joseph fanfic]

When I get to school I park my car in my usual spot. I push my keys into my bag and slung the strap over one shoulder. As soon as i step out out of my car, i see an unfamiliar car parked here. Since I get to school an hour early everyday I am usually the first one here, with the exception of a few teachers. So it must be someone new.

As soon as I walk through the double doors into the office Mrs. White is all over me. This is definitely not normal.

"Ryder, oh how glad I am to see you. You see my old frail bones aren't as good as they used to b-" She started as soon as I had opened the door.

"Mrs. White, no disrespect, but save the speech. Just give me the papers you need copied and I'll be back soon." I interject. And then I see the boy. Holy crap, its him. I told myself. His tired brown eyes looked so nervous. His nose is a very feminine one, for sure. His mouth was in a small frown. His hair is messy, but not long enough to be tangled. His outfit was composed of a navy blue t-shirt and black skinny jeans with black vans, hanging around his waist was a black sweatshirt. He looked like he was trying to collapse in on himself due to the awkwardness. I turn back to Mrs. White, then back to the stranger. "Hi," I direct to him, "My name is Ryder, I'm guessing you're new?"

Then the boy speaks, I was seconds away from melting. Is it possible to fall in love with a voice, because I just did. "H-hi, uh- I'm Tyler. Y-yeah I'm n-new." Then he attempts to smile, his teeth are crooked but its quite cute actually, it fits him very well. Tyler was going to make this year good. and thats all i knew for sure.
