In the lush gardens of Apollo's Delphic Palace, Prince Hyacinthus was slowly recovering from his traumatic encounter with Zephyrus. His lover, the sun god Apollo, was at his side, providing comfort and support, yet struggling to understand the depth of Hyacinthus' pain. Apollo was a god, eternal and unchanging; human emotion puzzled him, and he struggled to understand what Hyacithus was going through. He did his best to provide reassurance and be a loving presence.

"Why do you tremble so, my love?" Apollo asked, his divine eyes filled with concern. "I've examined you thoroughly. There's no poison in your veins, no curse upon your soul."

Hyacinthus sighed, his gaze distant.

"It's not a physical wound, Apollo," he explained.

"It's a wound of the mind, of the spirit. It's fear, it's violation, it's... trauma."

Apollo, being a god, found it hard to comprehend.

"But why? Zephyrus did not succeed in his vile intentions. And he has been punished."

Hyacinthus shook his head.

"It's not about what he did or didn't do. It's about what he tried to do, what he wanted to do. It's about the loss of safety, the shattering of trust."

"I was told about this from older warriors. There is a shock and horror that happens after the battle is over and might leave them reeling for a long time afterwards. Spending time in peaceful surroundings with loved ones helps"

"This doesn't just happen after battle. Smilax told me of what happpened to her at camp. One of your fathers' son tried to violate her. She barely manage to escape and it left her shaking for a long while. She could not find peace. The next year she hatched a plan to send all of them after Medusa by tricking them with her powers. She cleared your brothers quarters and those of your nephews by Ares, since they had harmed her sisters."

Apollo was silent for a moment, then nodded.

"I see. I may not fully understand, but I will try. I will be here for you, Hyacinthus. Zephyrus will never come near you again."

The mention of Zephyrus brought back another painful memory. Hyacinthus looked towards the empty lake, only days ago filled with the graceful figures of his pet swans.

"He killed them, Apollo. My swans... your gift to me."

Apollo's face hardened. The beautiful birrds had brought his beloved much joy and delight. They had also protected him well.

"I know, and I swear by the River Styx, he will pay for it. I shot him with my arrows, laced with poison. Each arrow hit its mark, but the coward fled."

Hyacinthus placed a comforting hand on Apollo's.

"I know you did, Apollo. And I know you'll bring him to justice. But for now, let's focus on healing, on recovering. We have each other, and that's what truly matters."

And so, they sat there, two lovers bound by love and shared pain, vowing to heal and to bring justice to the one who had caused them so much suffering. Apollo took up his lyre to play a soothing melody for Hyacinthus. The prince smiled, recognizing the song as one his mother had played for him often as a child. Hyacinthus at first humms along but with encourangement from Apollo he starts singing the verse.
