"Parthvi, wake up! Look at this!!" Madhuri's voice broke through my exhausted haze as she yanked the comforter off me. I jerked up, sitting straight as she shoved her phone in front of my face.

"You and your Randheer are all over the media!" My eyes went wide as I saw the headlines flashing on the screen tucking my loose strands back.

Pictures of me and Randheer from yesterday's events had exploded across multiple sites, each one with its own scandalous headline:

"Election Bombshell: Young Politician's Secret Romance Exposed"

"Campaign Crisis: Rising Star's Intimate Moments with Stranger Go Public"

"From Hug to Date: Young Politician's Controversial Campaign Moments"

"Scandalous Embrace and Date: Politician's Campaign in Turmoil"

"Caught on Camera: Aspiring MLA's Intimate Moment with Unknown Girl"

I read the words in one breath, my head spinning as the weight of it all crashed down on me.

"Why didn't I see this coming? What will he do now? His hard work—if it all goes to waste, I should have been more careful!" I muttered, on the verge of tears. Madhuri rubbed my back, trying to calm me.

I held my head in my hands, frustration and panic bubbling inside me. Suddenly, my phone buzzed, and with trembling hands, I answered the call.

"Get ready and come downstairs in 10 minutes," Randheer's voice rang out, cold and commanding. His tone gave nothing away, no hint of his feelings, no sign of his mood.

"Randheer, those news—"

"You saw them? Better hurry up. I'm waiting," he cut me off, leaving no room for argument.

The call ended abruptly, and I stared at the phone, my mind racing.

Calm before the storm, I whispered to myself, trying to steady my nerves.
Madhuri huffed, her fists clenched in frustration.

"This good-for-nothing Saransh has turned you into a crybaby! You were so strong before he entered your life. I swear, I'll kill him! Come on, Parthvi, you're not a crybaby. You've got brains—use them! Find a way to fix this!"

Her words hit their mark, and I felt a surge of determination. I wiped my face, nodding slightly. I quickly freshened up, slipping into a kurti and jeans. Just as I thought I was ready, my phone beeped again.

I glanced at the notification on the lock screen, "If possible, wear a saree with those big earrings of yours and a bindi, looking breathtaking as always!" It ended with a wink emoji.

Somewhere deep inside, a part of me was shy, but another part of me was irritated. Of course, I'd have to change again.
