Cynthia was standing in her dressing gown. Peering over Bloom's shoulder as she looked at the maps the fire fairy was studying. Nudging Bloom, Cynthia pointed to an option Bloom hadn't seemed to have spotted or considered.
Bloom nodded gratefully as she jotted that down in the notebook next to her. Cynthia then went back to peering over her shoulder.
"I think that's Duke Hammerström," Aisha calls from where she is standing on the window seat.
"I'm not sure, that's how conversations work." Cynthia laughs. "I think they require a touch more back and forth."
"Ah, Aimee Leroy, so nice to meet you." Aisha starts pretending to have a conversation with someone. "Just the other day, I was making tea, and it reminded me of your breakthrough theory on elemental fluid mechanics."
At that, Cynthia snorted.
"Yeah, they're not all winners." Aisha laughed, holding the cards up. as the girls laughed. "But we have a few hours of mingling before we storm the East Wing."
"I'm gonna hang with you and make sure we temper whatever nuggets are on here. It's cute." Flora suggests, continuing to eye up the cards
"So, is everyone who went to Alfea like Duke Hammerstrong?" Bloom questions. "Are there no normal jobs in the Otherworld? No accountants or..."
"Of course there are." Stella nods, pausing to think. "It's just most of them didn't go to Alfea. I mean, the reason why all the alums are so powerful is because this school is the best."
"Think I found the best way into the East Wing," Bloom tells them, changing the subject. "And don't freak out, but I do think it's easiest if I just go by myself."
"No," Cynthia tells her. At that same time, the other girls disagree.
But Bloom has made up her mind. "It's fine, I'm. Plus if, if I get caught, I can worm my way out with Rosalind." She assures the girls
