Chapter 3

It will always be Kacee's POV :)

It's finally winter break, and I can sleep all I want now. I thought Junior year would be way easier than the previous year but I guess not. Can't wait till senior year! Yay....

So how's life? Is yours great? Because mine isn't. It's like I'm literally in hell.

Mace and I have been fighting non-stop and our mother doesn't know what to do.

Ever since Lexie left for college, Mace has been getting way worse than ever.

Let me just get my list of things Macee has done in the past 2 years..

1. Her grades have DROPPED massively. Mom didn't take that well.
2. Smoked her first cigarette. I thought she was really sick from all the coughing, but I guess not...
3. Went to her first club with a FAKE ID. I can't believe her.
4. She was really drunk so she threw up everywhere & the house smelled really bad, I could've died from just smelling it.
5. She ditched so many of her classes, but surprisingly passes our quizzes and tests. 🤔
6. She ALMOST went to jail for racing in private property.
7. She cuts herself sometimes, and I've caught her doing it with her 'friends'

And the most dreadful of them all :

8. She framed me for cheating on our English final.

I don't know when she will ever stop with her new self. It has gotten out of control. Who knows what she could next.

As a 17 year old girl, who used to be the sweetest, smartest, loved, & caring girl, you wouldn't really expect she would ever do that if you have known her for so long.

And my mother? She cries every single night because she blames herself for not growing up with her as much as she was with me. Yes, my sister and I did get separated and that was because of our dad.

From the day Mace & I were born, our father had left us right when we came out. A week later he sent my mother a letter slightly apologizing for leaving us.

He states, "I'm not ready to be a father. Not when I'm like this."

At first my mother didn't understand what he meant at the ending of his letter until a few years later he showed up at our door with a big folder in his hand. Mace and I were only 4 so we didn't understand why he left, but all I heard was memory loss.

Eventually, my mother explained to both of us that he had short term memory loss. He still does up until now, but he's getting help.

Macee has been acting weird lately and I'm not so sure what's happening. For the past 3 days, she's been in a happy mood. Even though we don't talk, we aren't fighting. I'm actually glad things aren't getting worse, the feeling is neutral though.

If you ask me, sometimes she would ask me a few questions and they wouldn't be in such a bitch-y tone.

If anything, I would like to thank whoever or whatever is helping her become the Macee back then !!!

I'm heading out the door right now to go shopping. I haven't been shopping in a while and I miss it so much. And if you're thinking I'm going shopping for clothes? I'm really not, haha.
