(Chapter fifty-three)

A loud groan escaped my mouth, when not one, but two phones ringing, woke me up and Jason from our sleep.

He was finally back from visiting his parents.

I reached for my phone and looked at the caller I.D. It was Spencer.

I sighed as I sat up, leaning my back to the headboard. I pulled the duvet up, so it would cover my very exposed chest. I saw as Jason quickly put on a boxer, and took his phone with him as he walked out of the room to answer his call.

We were very happy to see eachother.

I pressed the 'answer' button on my phone and lifted it to my ear.

"What's up Spence?" I questioned.

"I need to talk to you." She started. "And to Jason."

I furrowed my eyebrows, and asked, "Jason? Why?"

"I think he might know something." Was all Spencer replied. "Are you with him right now?"

"Yes." I claimed.

"Can we meet up? Like, now? It's kinda urgent." She asked and I knew that she wouldn't take 'no' as an answer.

"Sure." I sighed.

After agreeing where to meet up, I hung up the phone, and reached for my bra, which was laying on the floor.

Then, I looked up when I noticed Jason walking back to the room. He did not look happy.

"Who was it?" I questioned as I put on my shirt and jeans.

"My lawyer." He revealed. "They might be dropping Garrett's case."

"What?" I asked in utter shock.

"Something about the evidence and stuff, I didn't really understand it." Jason muttered as he was also getting clothed.

"Then this must be a bad time to tell you that Spencer wants to meet up." I exclaimed. "With the both of us."

"Why?"

"No clue. She said it's important, tho." I answered. "But we don't have to go, if you don't want to."

"It's fine." He sighed. "I need some fresh air, anyways."

"Okay." I muttered as I walked up to him, and got on my tiptoes and pressed a kiss to his lips. "Then let's go."

"Hey." Spencer said as Jason and I approached her. She was on her tablet, before we arrived. I sat down on the bench next to her, Jason remaind standing.

"So what's up?" Jason asked.

"I need to talk to you about Garrett, his case." Spencer claimed.
