Our Beautiful Sun

We all depend on the sun.

It's light keeps us safe, it's light keeps us warm. When we awake in the morning, we awake to the sun.

Just look at it's orange glow, and it's burning center. It's beautiful, isn't it?

But what if we were to lose the sun? What if one day, it just shuts down? We wouldn't be prepared, we wouldn't know when it would happen. The world would fall into turmoil, and everyone would freeze to death. Everyone would die, and we wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

Oh, but don't you worry. Our valuable sun would never do anything sudden like that. She's very faithful, you know.

But even so, there will still be that day when the sun shuts off. There'll be a day, very far in the future, billions of years away, when the sun will die. What will happen to our Earth? What will happen to our species?

That, my friend, is for you to decide. You, and the millions of others living right now, are our fate. We aren't ready now, but we could be.
