Ellie's long awaited holiday to Paris had finally come to a close. At the beginning of the trip, Ellie was so ecstatic about the fact that she was going to the city of love with my best friend Poppy and that these two weeks were going to be the best days of their life. It just so happened that she was quite wrong.
The beginning of the trip had been absolutely amazing, but not for much longer afterwards. Ellie had some stupid idea that she was going to meet some super-hot foreign guy with an amazing accent, fall in love him, move to whatever exotic country he's from, have a bunch of cute little babies and live a happy life 'til the day she died. But alas, that did not happen.
Instead, Poppy had to go back to England because her grandmother got incredibly ill and she refused to let Ellie go with her even when she said it would be boring without her but she insisted that she finds her foreign lover. Stubborn much. So instead, Ellie was stuck in the middle of the city of love with no one to keep her company and I think that it's safe to say that I did not meet a dashing young gentleman to sweep me off my feet. Nope, not at all.
So that's where she was now, walking through the airport terminal, dragging her carry-on luggage behind her on her way to find the gate that will lead herself back to London. Ellie had been on planes a few times down to Australia to visit her parents who moved down there with her and her older brother Jerry when she was 10 but she moved back up to go to university and ended up staying here for good.
As Ellie arrived at her gate, she realised she was slightly early so she took a seat by the window and continued her current book I was reading while looking out of the window to see the planes moving about outside and all the vehicles doing their job.
Ellie was sitting there for about 20 minutes until she was finally able to line up to get on the aircraft. As she made small talk with the middle aged American couple in front of her about them travelling the continent, Ellie slowly got closer to the boarding section for her to get checked onto the airplane.
Ellie smiled kindly at the gentleman behind the desk as she handed him the passport. He smiled back and quickly looked over the boarding ticket and passport to make sure everything was in check. When he seemed satisfied, he handed Ellie back her passport and ticket.
"Welcome, Miss Ellie Turner. Please follow the walkway behind me to reach the aircraft" the man said kindly pointing behind him. She muttered a quick thanks and then went on her way.
As Ellie reached the end of the walkway, an air hostess pointed her in the right direction and she ascended up the airplane aisles quite slowly until she found row 45. Lucky for her, she was next the window so she could enjoy the luxurious views of France as they fly up into and over the clouds. Since her and Poppy booked the flights pretty late, we couldn't get a seat next to each other so she would have sat in the seat behind her, but she's not here right now is she, so it doesn't matter anyway.
As Ellie went to face her seat, her view was constructed by an incredibly good looking man currently reading a book on what looked to be a kindle or tablet. He had beautiful dark brown hair which was slightly curly with an amazing set of piercing blue eyes and a nice sharp jaw. He was wearing a white collared shirt underneath a navy blue sweater with the sleeves rolled up and kaki coloured trousers with a pair of black shoes. He looked very dashing indeed.
She reluctantly tore her eyes away from him for a minute so she could put her bag into the over-head compartment but as Ellie looked up, it seemed most of the space was used up by other bags and she would have to stand onto her tippy-toes in order to reach the only available space. So that's what she did. Ellie stood as high as she could on my toes, but Ellie simply wasn't getting anywhere even with her 5'6 height but that was until the bag got lifted up much higher than she could reach and landed firmly on top of all the bags with a small thud. Ellie turned around to see who it was that helped her and of course it was Mr. Dashing she was looking at only moments ago.
