Ashley Purdy

I watched Niall and Cameron walk into the club as I twisted the blade in my hand. I followed the two of them inside and lingered in the crowd until I saw a small group of girls walk up to Niall. While he was distracted I took my moment and snuck up behind Cameron, raising my knife to her throat.

I used my other hand to get her phone, removing the case and taking her hotel key.

"Thanks for this, sweetheart." I whisper in her ear, removing the knife from her neck and tracing it up and down her arm. It was grazing the jacket which was clearly not her's.

"Wouldn't want to ruin this would we?" I says slowly taking the jacket off her shoulder. I continued what I was doing before just without the protection of the leather.

I glance up at a clock, seeing it was nearly midnight and I didn't have much time tonight I drive the knife in and out of her arm in a quick flash and run away as I hear her yell in pain behind me.

I pull out a white handkerchief out of my pocket, wiping off Cameron's blood from my knife. I dispose of said handkerchief into a bin and walk down to my car, stepping inside and setting the knife on the passenger seat. I looked at Cameron's keycard, entering the hotel name into Google Maps.

It only took me a few minutes to get there, leaving my car parked outside and walking into the lobby to see no one around. I quickly snuck up to the reception computer, unaware of how the system works, but searched "Kaitlyn" into a searchbar and a small profile came up.

"Kaitlyn Tomlinson

Room 456

Stay duration: 20th July - 21st July"

I was confused when I read "Tomlinson", then remembered that J warned me that Kaitlyn would most likely have some form of memory loss from the drugs he gave her. What I'm guessing happened is she couldn't remember her last name so she took one of the boys' names in order to get a hotel room.

The entire point of me visiting Kaitlyn is that I need to find a way to convince her to give me -and her father- a constant update on her location so me and him can keep an eye on the band, and her. A few nights ago J showed me paparazzi photos of the boys, Cameron, Kaitlyn and some other people I didn't recognise entering a club.

This was how J found out that Kaitlyn was touring America with Forever Winter. He wasn't pleased with the information as he sent Kaitlyn back to her birthplace in a box for refusing to work with him in hopes he wouldn't see her again but here she is "loitering with his employees" in his words.

I started heading upstairs to floor 7, briskly walking down the hallway till I came up to room 456. I ran over my plan in my head as I knocked the door, Kaitlyn opening it a minute later.

"Who are you?" She asked cautiously.

"Hi, Kaitlyn I'm Ashley," I held my hand out for her to shake which she didn't take.

"Sorry but I'm not shaking your hand. Who are you and how do you know my name?"

"That's not for you to be concerned about, and I just have a couple things I'd like to discuss with you."

"What things?" She asked, slightly closing the door over as she stepped into the hallway.

"It's about your father."

Her attitude was like a light switch, going from pure resentment to curiosity.

"What about my father? And how do you know me?"

"I know you because your father sent me to get a running location on you since he recently found out who you're hanging around."

"Yeah, sorry I'm not doing that." She reopened the door and stepped inside, going to close it again as I put my foot in the door.

"Just listen to me for a second." I say.

"He wants me to get a running location on you so at one point he can come after you and get you to work with him. But I'm going to make sure that doesn't actually happen. "

No I'm not.

J wants me to get a running location mostly on the band so I can "give them hell" in J's words as he believes that they knew Kaitlyn's was his step-daughter.

I really do not understand his logic on things but I'd rather be alive than dead so I oblige anyway.

"Telling your father your actual location would be dangerous for you so what we're going to do instead is you'll tell me where you are and I'll tell your father you're somewhere else." I explain but Kaitlyn still seems skeptical.

"How would I keep you updated?"

"Here. The phone already has my number on it so just message me whenever you go to a new tour location." I take a small phone from my pocket and hand it to her.

"Why can't you just not tell him anything? Just ignore him?"

"I'd rather do what he asks of me and keep my job and life. I'm just slightly bending the rules this time. You can't tell other people about this, by the way." I nod at her as a 'goodbye', walking back down the hallway and into the elevator.

Obviously there are so many ways Kaitlyn could see through J and I's plan, but by the sounds of things she is under the impression her dad is after her and I'm stopping him doing anything, while I'm just feeding him information that will eventually fuck everything up for the band later down the line.
