"Bye mom, I'm going out with Destiny and Olivia. I'll be home by nine thirty!" I yelled into my half empty house then closed the door behind me. Ever since I was a kid, it had just been me and my mom, against the world. My dad was not around do to some conditions. I still can't believe what he used to do to... "Carter!" Olivia yelled breaking me out off my trance.
"Are you gonna get in or just stand there?" she laughed.
"Oh yeah, sorry" I said jumping in the backseat of her car. "Omg!" Destiny cried turning around in her seat. "Did you hear that that new local band is gonna be performing tonight". "There supposed to be like super hot!" she giggled in that squeaky voice of hers.
"Oh yeah I heard about that" I replied. "What's the name again?" Olivia asked. "Oh yeah there called like True Words or something like that" she finished. "Ugh, I'm so glad were doing this." I started. "I'm so glad to get away from Brad drama". "Yeah, what happened between you too anyway?".
"Brad was just being his normal asshole self."
"Well are you gonna get back with him?" Destiny asked.
"I don't know." I said and I really wasn't lying. I didn't know. "Let's make a promise!" Olivia suddenly said. "Let's make a promise, that were done with assholes for a while", "only non-assholes" she finished. Destiny giggled. "I'm in" I said putting my hand in. "Me too" Destiny did the same. "Good it's settled." Olivia said sternly. "Perfect timing cause were here!" she said unbuckling.
