Days Later:

Parthvi was engrossed in her books, preparing diligently for her finals, which were just ten days away, when her phone buzzed with Sangeeta's name flashing on the screen.

She picked it up immediately closing her book. "Namaste, Aunty!" she greeted warmly. "Namaste, beta! Kal elections ka result hai, aur Randheer ke liye yeh bohot bada din hai. Agar aap kuch der ke liye ghar aa jaati to...."

(Greetings, Aunty/ Greetings, dear! Tomorrow is the election result, and it's an important day for Randheer. If you could come home for a while....)

"Aunty, I will be there!" Parthvi replied politely. "I'll send the driver by eight, okay?" Sangeeta added before cutting the call.

Parthvi hummed in agreement and set her phone aside casually. Then turning towards the bed where madhuri lay cocooned in the blanket, she yelled, "Madhuriiii!!!" as she threw Madhuri's comforter off the bed, waking her with a start.

"Oh my God, baby! What kind of turbulence has struck you?" Madhuri groaned dramatically, placing a hand on her heart.

"I have to go to Randheer's place tomorrow morning for a puja. What should I wear?!" Parthvi exclaimed, sitting on the bed holding her head.

Madhuri gave her an exaggerated "Oh!" expression before jumping out of bed toward parthvi's side of the closet, rummaging through clothes before pulling out a sleek black suit.

"Behen, kala jaadu nahi karna hai!" Parthvi snapped, rolling her eyes.

(Sister, we're not performing black magic tomorrow!)

Madhuri groaned, dramatically smacking her forehead before diving back into the pile of clothes. After a moment, she surfaced with a crimson suit and placed it triumphantly on the bed.

"Good job, Madhuri!" Parthvi praised, patting her shoulder in an overly dramatic way as they both burst into laughter.

While Madhuri crawled back into her comforter, Parthvi grabbed her books again settling on the sofa. However, despite her best efforts, her mind kept drifting to the upcoming day—and Randheer.

Frustrated with her wandering mind, she finally picked up her phone and dialed his number. It took five rings before he answered, his voice coming out in a sleepy mumble. "Hmm?""Were you asleep?" she asked softly.

On the other side, Randheer rubbed his eyes and sat up, resting his back against the headboard. "Nahi, bataiye!" he lied smoothly.

(No, tell me!)

"I thought you might be nervous, so I called to distract you for a while!" she replied innocently. "Hmm, just a bit. Rajawat is an old player." he admitted, taking a sip of water to shake off his sleep.

"I'm sure you'll win. Aunty called me earlier—she said she'll send a driver in the morning." Parthvi informed him, snuggling back into the couch and closing her books.
