AN: Hello human beans. I'm back to bring to you..... ELIZABETH! This took forever and I'm sorry but it will pick up action wise now I promise! Thank you for sticking around until this point. Six months holy guacamole of cannoli. I think I'm funny, I know I'm not lol. That's Yellowlab for ya. Oh boy I'm rambling, sorry. Alright info for this chapter! Winter's Burrow is in truth the home of the Vala. In one of the Soul Riders stories (it was either the second or third one of the series) Anne mentioned she had a little brother with Coltsfoot yellow hair. So hence Colten (or Colt) is the young six year old son of Eva and Daniel Van Blyssen. Vala familiars, as seen later in the chapter, can be a wide range of animals, birds, reptiles, crustaceans, and fish. Enjoy!
Sigry stretched in her seat as she waited for Eva to get in the car. She had woken up about two hours ago at four in the morning. Eva strolled out of the house, a little blonde headed boy trailing along behind her, holding a little stuffed bear. Eva opened the car door to get in.
"Mommy, when will you get back?" The boy said as Eva sat down in the car.
"Probably around your naptime. I'll keep Sissy updated, okay Colten?" Eva said.
"Okay," Colten said.
A tall man in a suit walked out. He had the same blonde hair and leaf green eyes as Colten.
"Colt, mommy has to go somewhere today. Come on, let's go wake up Sissy." Daniel said
"Oh hon. Anne had another episode last night. It's probably best to let her sleep until you have to leave." Eva said.
"Oh okay, noted." Daniel said. "Never mind, Colt, let's go play with your cars. Love you Eva. Bye Sigry!"
"Love you too," Eva answered
"See ya Dan," Sigry said.
Daniel grabbed Colten's hand and started walking back up to the large house. Sigry started to drive away.
"So, Anne's been home for a while. How's she adjusting?" Sigry asked, turning out of the neighborhood.
"Good. Except that she's suffering from Pandoric Sickness." Eva said. "She'll sometimes throw everything she eats back up with only a little warning and sometimes her scars will glow pink and become super hot. I don't know how to help or who to talk to about for possible cures or at least something that can alleviate her symptoms."
"Perhaps you should talk to Evergray." Sigry said, slowly.
"I will not be talking to that son of a bitch," Eva snapped.
"I was just thinking that he might know where you can get assistance for your daughter." Sigry said.
Eva's nose twitched, "How in the world would he know that."
"Well, he was in exile with a bunch of witches for a little over thirty years." Sigry said.
"And I should trust these witches," Eva stated flatly.
"Well, not all of them are bad." Sigry suggested.
Eva sighed, "I'll think about it."
"There ya go," Sigry answered.
Their conversations fluctuated from all sorts of things after that, from how close they were to finding their friends to how the actual fuck Thomas Moorland got a starbreed snake.
"It's rare enough as it is to get a starbreed if it is not a horse so how does the entirety of Winter's Borrow have one," Eva said.
"I have no clue." Sigry said, pulling the card that had arrived in her mail for a parking garage in Jarlaheim where they would be meeting the Vala guarding Elizabeth.
