Chapter 11

AN: I emerge from the shadows! Welcome, before we get started ⚠️TW for mentions of abuse, it was due to the Pandoric Sickness but if you are sensitive to this type of stuff skip the first 4 paragraphs. ⚠️ (This following sentence is explaining sickness, the parenthesis' are how it effects Caroline and Maxy, and as such contains mention of Physical Abuse) Due to the Pandoric Sickness, it drove Caroline mad (sometimes during these anger spells she would take them out on Maxy). Caroline feels horrible about it, but more on that in the chapter. Maxy is afflicted with tired spells if you wanted to know. Benny's is kinda like Denny's but the Jorvik version and with a drive through, I've never been to Denny's so I don't know how it works. I love when autocorrect is like "actually that's false" and I'm like "NO IT'S NOT CAROLINE HAS ONLY ONE EYE". If you didn't know that now ya do. Caroline has one eye. Another thing, when I say "possessed" I mean that a Pandoric Demon is essentially in their subconscious. If you've seen Jujutsu Kaisen, it's similar to Itadori's relationship (I guess you would call it) with Sukuna, in the sense that the Pandorians can take control. I make a mention of Joseph Varanger and Chief. Chief is a german Malinois. They've made a brief appearance but Joseph and Chief are Vala. Joey is the brother of Sigry Varanger. The PPU, I've mentioned them, some of their people have made an appearance, now's the time where you say, "YELLOWLAB WHO THE HELL ARE THE PPU?". I'll explain them more in a future chapter but the basic understanding you'll need is, they are a secret organization made to combat Pandoric stuff. PPU = Pandoric Protection Unit. More in a future chapter (and their own fic eventually). Finally.... NICO APPEARANCE BE UPON YE!!

"What do you mean because of her aggression!" Sigrid cried out, throwing her hands in the air. "My daughter has never shown signs of aggression her entire life!"

Caroline sat frozen. During her time in Pandoria the sickness had driven her mad. After losing her eye, her madness would occasionally come back and she would not recognize who she was. She would take her anger out on Maxy and Jupiter. However afterwards whenever Caroline tried to apologize, she never could get the sentences out. Maxy always seemed to get the message though. She still felt guilty after all the abuse that Maxy had suffered at her hands. Maxy said that she never blamed her for all her injuries, but Maxy blamed the sickness. Caroline blamed only herself.

"Well, Mrs.Hightower, when we were doing a last inspection of Ms.Doyle she had many scars and injuries. We asked how she received them. We had to prod her to give us information. When she did tell us we were told that due to their experimentation they both suffered from different symptoms. Ms.Hightower here suffered from anger spells which were taken out on Ms.Doyle and her wolf. She said she doesn't blame Ms.Hightower at all and knows she wasn't herself. So we think it would be for the safety of your young granddaughter that she does not reside with you until the PPU can figure out a way to help her. We apologize, but this is now out of our hands and with the PPU." The doctor said.

"What," Sigrid began.

"Mom, it's fine. I'm meeting with one of their people today. I'll talk about it." Caroline stood, placing a hand on her mom's shoulder.

Sigrid sighed. "Very well."

The doctor only nodded before talking, "I apologize again. I will let you two get going."

Caroline and her mom signed out of the hospital and walked out.

"When's that meeting of yours?" Sigrid asked.
