Chapter 14

So y'all, I just had fun writing this chapter lmao. Anyways, actual thing now. So, this chapter has time skips/ POV Changes those are marked with a *. Time stuff with those is that the second portion is about two-three weeks after the first one. Third portion is about three days after the second one. Btw (This) is the translation for the Spanish. I'm very much not fluent in Spanish, so if you speak Spanish and see a mistake I made please do let me know so I can fix it. In this you get a first glimpse at a new character with a little bit of a darker backstory, the Echo Kid, mentioned previously, we'll catch more of her in the future. There's a special character at the end, so stay tuned. 

Out of nowhere a bear appeared, she had cinnamon brown fur with darker undertones and gentle royal purple eyes, "I'm Justin, Justin Moorland." Justin took off his mask, revealing his relaxed brown eyes. "And this is Ussuri." Justin patted the bear's head.

"Rania Varanger." The girl said, removing her mask. Eri was shocked to find that her eyes were hazy, scars crossing over them. A Haflinger trotted to her side. "This ding dong is Delingr." Delingr looked at her, offended, before gently nipping at her ear. Rania smiled.

"Howdy there I'm Adam John, though you can call me Aj." The dude with the prosthetics said. He removed his mask revealing his green eyes that seemed to go great with his rusty red hair. A chicken appeared beside him. "And this is Dragon. Her true form is a T-Rex." Aj grinned a lopsided smile, there was a small gap in between his upper middle teeth.

"You're joking." Eri said.

"No ma'am." Aj said.

"Aj, Kamie said they were nonbinary remember?" A spearman said. Then he lifted his hood, revealing his gentle brown eyes and leaned forward, studying her. "Perhaps instead of gendered terms we use Batata?" He suggested.

"Hm I like it. Batata! Excellent nickname as always, Alonso." Aj said.

"Wait, you just met me and you're giving me the nickname of sweet potato in Spanish." Eri said.

"Yep. I'm Alonso by the way." The dude said, standing again. A huge, fluffy, gray blue cat appeared next to him. She was clearly a Maine Coon/Persian mix with her smooshed face. "This is Shadow, my starbreed."

Eri blinked at him a couple of times.

"You see, Kalters aren't witches so we can't have familiars. And I'm technically Chilean but, eh, the Icenwitch said why not. And now I'm a Kalter Apprentice." Alonso said."I'm literally just a guy."

The others chuckled.

The other spearman removed his hood. He had white hair tied in a man bun and icy blue eyes. "I am Culder Icenwitch, though I advise you to call me Scylus in front of non-Valan or non-Kalter people." He said.

"Right Culder in front of Valan and Kalter people and Scylus in front of everyone else." Eri said.

Culder smiled and nodded. "You got it." A small pygmy goat with a purple diaper appeared. Her fur was black with white patches, like a reverse cow. "And this is Cow." The small goat bleated.
"I'm Eri and this is Luna." Eri said.

"Hello friends." Luna purred. The other animals all gave greetings.

"Epic," Justin said. "Well, now it's time for the feast where we celebrate getting a new apprentice. So let's go eat."

And so with that they all headed off to one of the long tables scattered about. At the table sat Maxine and her parents. Maxine was chatting with a woman who looked exactly like her, except her hair was pulled back into her tight bun and she wore red glasses instead of green glasses. Beside them sat a woman wearing glasses. She had just a strange... blueness, to her. She looked up at Eri with her strange all light blue eyes.
