(It was two in the morning, and while everyone was still asleep, Letty woke up needing to pee. After she uses the restroom she makes her way downstairs, to see if she can find something to snack on. As she walks into the kitchen she sees Little B sitting on the island eating a bowl of cereal.)
Letty: Oh I didn't know anyone was down here.
Little B: Couldn't sleep.
Letty: (gives an unsure smile) I can go get your dad.
Little B: You don't have to wake him.
Letty: (rubs her bump) Ok!
(She opens the refrigerator and takes out a bowl of yogurt with blueberries, strawberries, and granola. She was about to head back up the stairs to enjoy her snack but was stopped.)
Little B: Mo... I mean Letty can we talk?
Letty: (hesitant) Umm sure!
(She goes to sit across from him.)
Little B: (sigh) I wanted to apologize for the things I said and how I've been acting. I was sad and felt alone as I watched everyone else life keep going.
Letty: Brian you don't have to apologize for how you feel. I know how hard things have been for you these last six months. It's ok to express your feelings and to talk about them.
Little B: (eyes water) It still doesn't make it right. You are the best mom anyone could ever ask for. I'm sorry I said those things and that I hurt you.
Letty: It's ok!
Little B: No it's not! Punish me or take my games away.
Letty: (looks at him) Will that make it better if I do that?
Little B: What?
Letty: Will I punish you to make what was said better?
Little B: You're my mom and if I've been disrespectful, I should be punished.
Letty: I'm not going to do that. But I would love for us to spend some time together before the baby comes. I accept and appreciate your apology, that was all I needed. I know I'm not your birth mother, but I want you to know that I'm here for whatever you need.
(She gets up and makes her way around to him. She cups his face and places a kiss on his forehead. He falls against her and wraps his arms around her midsection.)
Little B: She's growing.
Letty: (chuckle) What makes you think it's a girl?
Little B: I just know it.
Letty: I'm thinking of a boy.
Little B: (kiss her belly) I'm sorry I've been a brat lately. It's not your fault and I promise to be the best big brother. I can't wait to meet you and show you all the cool cars.
Letty: (teary smile) You're going to be the best brother he or she could ever ask for.
Little B: I love you mom.
Letty: I love you too Bubba. And you should get some sleep or you will be too tired for tomorrow.
Little B: What's tomorrow?
Letty: It's a surprise.
Little B: I'll go to bed now.
Letty: Ok bud, see you in the morning.
Little B: Goodnight Mom!
(He goes off up the stairs with her behind him with her snack. She enters the room and makes herself comfortable under the covers.)
Dom: Late-night snack?
Letty: Mmhm, and I also talked with B.
Dom: (looks at her) How did that go? And why is he up this late?
Letty: He was in the kitchen eating cereal.
Dom: He gets that from you.
Letty: (laughs) I did.
Dom: (kiss her arm) Well I'm glad you two made up.
Letty: I think we should take him out tomorrow. Maybe we can spend some time together before the baby comes.
Dom: I did promise him more driving time.
Letty: (smiles) I think that would be perfect. Maybe I'll take a spin or two while we're out there.
Dom: Not happening.
Letty: I can still drive Dom. I'm pregnant, not handicapped.
Dom: Yes but you're carrying our bundle of joy.
Letty: You're serious?
Dom: Damn right!
Letty: (makes a face) You're no fun.
Dom: I just want to prevent anything from happening.
Letty: Fine.
(He moves closer to her as she pouts.)
Dom: It's only for a little while longer than you will be back behind the wheel racing in no time.
Letty: With a sticker that says baby on board.
Dom: Not.
Letty: (chuckle) Look at you, already overprotective and bean not even here yet.
Dom: Bean?
Letty: Yeah, that's how it looked on the first ultrasound.
Dom: Mmm, so when's the next one? I want to be there and maybe we can find out what Bean is.
Letty: (ears a mouthful of yogurt) I'd like that.
Dom: (makes a face) I can't believe you're eating that. You've never eaten yogurt, let alone blueberries.
Letty: It's so good.
Dom: Weird cravings.
Letty: I want some.
Dom: I'll pass.
(Letty makes a face before eating another mouthful as he cuddles into her side. He caresses her bump as she finishes her late-night snack. Once she's done she sits it on the nightstand before she gets comfortable and cuddles up to Dom.)
Letty: So since we both are up, have you thought of names?
Dom: (deep voice vibrates) Well not really. Was kind of waiting to see what Bean will be first.
Letty: Well I've come up with two maybe three for both.
Dom: (chuckle) Ok let me hear them.
Letty: Ok if it's a girl, I love Maelle, Daniela, or Emilia. For a boy, I love Diego, Emmanuel, or Miguel.
Dom: Ok those are good babe. I love them all. Hey, maybe we can pop out four more and use those names.
Letty: (pinches him) I am not popping four more of your big-headed babies out of my small chooch.
Dom: (laughs loud) We will see about that.
Letty: (smirks) You will not be touching me after this one drop.
(He gives her a serious look like she hurt his feelings before he wraps his arms around her. She tries to push him off her as he attacks her neck with small kisses. Before long, she had given up and started to kiss him back with so much love and passion. They spent the next few hours craving each other sending both into a blissful sleep.)
