Chapter 2

"Lilith if you dont text him i will take away your phone while you are asleep and text him myself!" Mary threatened.

"Ok fine i will do it now." I held up my hands in surrender and pulled out my phone. How bad could it be? It was just one date it's not like i actually liked him. I mean he did have beautiful brown eyes and his hair stuck all over the place making it look amazing- NO! I will not do this. I will not fall for a guy that was a dare.

I laughed at the contact name i had made for him: Halloween Guy. Im sure that would help me remember him.

To: Halloween Guy (Friday: 12:30 am)

Hey its me, Lilith. Just thought i should text you so you would have my number.

Mary and Alisha read over the text. "Nope that doesn't sound good enough. Let me add something real quick." Alisha took my phone from my tight grip and smirked at the screen. She showed it to Mary who just adapted the smile.

"Oh heck yeah! Alisha you clever little thing." Mary poked her and took the phone.

She texted something else, and judging by her giggles it wasn't good.

"Guys! C'mon! Stop messing around." I whined. It seemed to work because they handed me back my cell.

The first thing i did was check the messages. I realized they had changed the contact name. Oh great! I think i liked my name for him better than what they had came up with.

To: My one and only true love that i will learn to love 💖💖💖 (Friday: 12:32 am)

We should definitely hang out! Btw i really liked your eyes they reminded me of a beautiful chocolatey brown. I wish to see them again soon. 😉

"Really guys!? I do not love him, and really the eyes?" I quickly changed Owen's contact name. I did not need it to say that every time i texted him. Not that i would be texting him i mean why would i? I clearly dont like him.

"We thought you would like the name" Alisha said quietly.

"The crap i do! Guys this is just a dare. Nothing more, nothing less. It is what it is."

"Sure it is." Mary muttered under her breath.

Before i could come up with some clever remark my phone made an obnoxious sound, letting me know i had a text.

From: Owen (Friday: 12:38am)

Wow thanks. I liked your eyes too I guess. And i agree, we should hang out.

Shit. Now he thinks i like his eyes. Wait did he say he likes my eyes.

"Why you smiling Lilith?" Mary said teasingly, while wiggling her eyebrows.

"I am not smiling. I was just... laughing. Silently." I tried to cover up but i knew it wasn't going to work. Because i was smiling like crazy and there was no lie big enough to hide the fact that Owen had made me smile like a crazy school girl in love.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night." Alisha said.

To: Owen (Friday: 12:40am)

Ditto.

I laughed to myself at my choice of words. At this point my friends thought i was going insane from all the smiles and laughs. I wouldn't blame them i was acting strange. I wasn't like this, ever.

From: Owen (Friday: 12:41am)

Double ditto.

I found myself starting to like him. I couldn't like him. Not just because i didn't want to but also because i made a promise to wait until i was 18 to ever date someone. I found my studies and school more important than some guy that could easily break my heart without a second thought. And there was no way i was going to give up that promise just because I had a tiny crush on a guy i met just today.

To: Owen (Friday: 12:45am)

Yeah look i have to go bye.

I shut off my phone and turned to Alisha and Mary. "Hey, you guys up for a scary movie? I heard "Stitches" is really good."

"Noooo! Please no clowns i hate clowns no guys please!" Alisha pleaded as she tried to find the control remote.

"Fine. I guess Lilith and I will just choose the movie then." Mary winked at me and i understood what she meant.

A few minutes later "Dead Silence" was playing on the tv and Alisha was huddled up behind the blankets. Every once in a while Alisha would jump on Mary causing her to jump on me. It didn't help that the movie was about creepy dolls coming to life, which was one of Alisha's fears.

Once the movie was over we decided to put one about friends going around looking for the scariest haunted house. It was called "The Houses October Built". Honestly i thought the name sounded stupid, but the description sounded a bit interesting.

It tuned out it was just deadly dull. Twenty minutes into the movie i fell asleep. The movie was seriously stupid. I wasn't surprised when Mary and Alisha fell asleep as well.

Heeeeeyo! Hows life? Mine's great. I keep going to sleep at 5 am watching Spn and usually end up waking up around 1pm. Summer is just great. (So far that is.) I will be updating another story later!!!
