"B-But Mommy!" Tears welled up my eyes, blurring my vision. My ears pull down as I then took a cautious step back.
"Don't even call me that!" Her face was enraged in anger with her sharp fangs baring threateningly. "It's best for you to leave for the safety of your siblings!" My brothers and sisters were hiding behind her, terrified. Each of their warm, fluffy brown fur helped them blend in with the ground whereas mines stuck out like a shiny stone in a pile of everstones.

A tear escaped my eyes as she and my siblings turned their backs on me and started walking in the opposite direction. "Mommy! I-I'll try my best to be helpful!" Sensing that I was going to follow her, she hissed.

Ever since I was just an innocent hatchling eagerly exploring the world, my mother, a leafeon, had disliked me. In just two weeks of being with her, she had completely neglected me. I'm always forced to remember that very day when she and my own brothers and sisters turn their backs and left me.

"You should be grateful I didn't immediately kill you off first!" Her voice had cracked immediately after that. She was struggling not to cry, I thought. A tear had dripped down her cheek. She turned around and I never heard from her again.

At that time, I knew that she would kill me if I took a step closer to them for the sake of their safety. During my first week of being alone, I struggled to survive and hide from predators. I had gotten a lot skinnier and my silver fur dirtied from constant hiding. But, during the night, I had always wondered why she had left me. I thought that I was useless. Disgusting. Unfit to live.

After an hour of silence and staring at the sky, I found it odd. Why is it so sunny, cheery, and warm, now?

And yet, I still lived for my sake.

I should get moving to someplace safe.

It wasn't long after that when I had met a trainer that would change me for the greater good.
**
It was raining the day I met him. A handsome and kind young trainer with a smile that could cure the sadness of millions of Pokemon.

I had been so hungry that I was on the brink of death. A pack consisting of Mightyenas and Poochyenas had spotted me lying on the ground, barely hanging on. I knew they pitied me. The biggest one, I'm guessing the leader, approached me with caution. Bending his neck down, his fangs were ready to rip open my neck. I squeezed my eyes shut and prayed to Arceus that this was going to be a quick and painless death.

It never came.

"Blitz! Quickly use Roar!" My eyes ripped open and immediately faced a giant Mightyena's open maw. Thunder flashed. It closed at the sound of a ferocious roar and it and the rest of the pack scurried away.

Shoot! I can't move my front right leg! Whimpering, I just simply used my left paw to cover my face.
"Hi, there little one." Moving my paw a few inches away from my eyes, I saw a male trainer with one hand on his knee peering at me. His Charizard curiously peeking over his shoulder.

"There, there. They're gone. You're going to be okay." He carefully held out his hand with a reassuring smile.

Okay? I'm going to be okay, now?

He picked me up and climbed on his Charizard. "Please hurry, Blitz!"

I closed my eyes. Arigato.
