Lily's POV:
The ground rushed towards us and I shrieked, grabbing wrapping my arms around Ash. He chuckled and I shut my eyes, waiting for the impact.
But it never came. I slowly opened them and found out that we were.....flying.
"Oh my God, we're flying?" I asked. He smiled down at me.
"Yep. How else do you think we're supposed to get to the first star on the left?" He asked. I paused.
"Don't you mean the second star on the right?" I asked. He sighed and rolled his eyes.
"As if I hadn't heard that one a million times. Our neverland isn't the one Disney created, nor the one you'd read about in books. There's no Captain Hook, no weird indians, no pirates, and sorry to disappoint, but no fairies." He said. I frowned.
"Don't you use pixie dust to fly?" I asked. He looked at me, frowning.
"How deep are you into the fairy tale?" He asked.
"I grew up on it. It's my favorite." I said. He sighed.
"We fly because we're technically half-dead. Some of us are dead. I myself, am in a coma like you." He said. He didn't let off why. I didn't ask.
"I suppose I should let you know, there's no Peter too. You could say I'm the Peter Pan of this whole thing. I suppose." He said.
I nodded, not asking anymore.
I kept my arms wrapped around him, leaning against him. I felt tired.
We flew through the stars, and a sudden thought struck me.
"Am I able to fly?" I asked him. He smirked.
"Would you like to find out?" He asked. Before I could say no, he let go of me and I fell.
I screamed, and suddenly he was there, catching me, wrapping my arms under my knees.
"Guess not." He laughed.
"Don't you ever do that again!" I said angrily. He laughed again. I hugged him close, afraid he'd drop me again.
He smelled.....sweet. Not sugary sweet, but....just sweet. Like a fruit.
"I'm not gonna drop you again. You thought I wouldn't catch you?" He asked me.
"Eh, kinda." I admitted. He leaned in close, his warm brown eyes staring into my green ones.
"I'll always catch you." He whispered.
I smiled slowly, feeling my cheeks heat up. He smiled before looking up at the sky.
"We're almost there." He said.
I looked up and gasped. The two stars were right there, almost in front of us. I've always wondered what it would be like to see them up close. Now we were heading to the one I never even thought of.
"So...what's this Neverland like?" I asked. His face seemed sad, almost forlorn.
"A place where teenagers are accepted." He said.
I nodded.
We flew right up to the star and straight through it, and I blacked out.
