Lily's POV:
It's been a fun and relaxing two weeks here in Neverland, and I was starting to forget what my hometown was like, and I don't even remember what my school's name was.
I didn't care though.
Me and my group of friends were hanging out one day, just talking and laying around the beach, when suddenly we all got this weird feeling. Ash frowned.
"I think someone else is coming." He said. I frowned too. Just as I stood up, someone surfaced from the water.
Ash immediately went super hero mode and flew over to the kid in the water, scooping him up and bringing him onto the shore. Bethany called for help while James and I stood, waiting for us to be able to do something.
Ash flew back and waved at James to help him. The kid looked heavy. Without a word, James jumped up and flew out over the open sea towards Ash. I watched in horror as kids started to come forward.
Together, Ash and James hauled the kid onto the shore. I ran up to the kid and knelt next to him/her immediately. They turned him/her over and I found out it was a guy. Couldn't be more than 15.
"Who knows CPR?" Ash asked. People looked around uncertainly. I raised my hand and he looked at me.
"Well hurry!" He said. I nodded and...yeah I'll spare you the details. I pulled my head back quickly as the kid sat up and then puked up water. Gross. He looked up at us and nodded, fainting again.
"Quick, let's get him to a cabin!" Ash said to James. James nodded and together they lifted him up, carrying him towards the inside of the island. I sat there, kneeling on the beach, trying to catch my breath. Bethany sat next to me, putting her arm around me.
"You did awesome. I'm glad you know CPR." She said. I nodded. Something about that kid looked familiar, it bothered me.

Later, after Ash and James came back to us and confirmed that he was fine and resting, I felt obligated to go check up on him.
On my way to his cabin, Ash stopped me.
"Hey, great job back there. I didn't think you knew." He said. I shrugged.
"Health class. Although it's alot different on an actual human instead of a practice dummy." I said. He smirked.
"Bet you were a good kisser." He said. My mouth dropped open but before I could come back with a biting remark, he smiled and walked away, leaving me there dumbstruck.
I shook my head muttering "boys" before making my way through the woods to the new kid's cabin. I got there and opened the door slowly. He was asleep in bed, but as soon as I shut the door behind me, he opened his eyes.
"Who are you?" He asked me, sitting up. I shut the door behind me and sat on a chair that was next to his bed.
"Lily. What about you?" I asked.
"Mark. Where am I?" He asked.
"Neverland." I answered simply. His eyes widened and I proceded to tell him the story of how we just saw him surfacing the water, and yada yada. He listened intently the whole time, nodding every so often.
"So....you....saved me?" He asked. I nodded, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Thankyou." he said, putting meaning into it. I nodded again.
"So....how'd you end up here? Can you remember anything?" I asked. He frowned, thinking.
I gave him a few minutes before something seemed to click for him. His expression changed from determined and thinking, to weary and sad.
"Yeah. Someone tried to drown me. They succeeded." He said. Now I remembered where I saw him.
He was on the news one day.
He looked sad, and lonely, I couldn't help but want to reach out to him. He looked how I felt the first day. Like I just wanted to go back home. Home? What a weird word. It used to mean someplace else....but now my brain connects the word to here.
"I should let you get some sleep." I said. He nodded. But before I left, he looked up at me.
"Thanks again for saving me." He said. I nodded.
"Any time." I said.
