Trace's POV:
Four weeks. That's how long my strong, fighting sister has been in this coma. I'm on my last nerve. The doctors told me that even if she did wake up, she'd be in a very weak state from inadequate food source, too much sleep, and well, the whole suicide thing.
But at least she would be awake.
For those of you who don't know our life's story, well, we've been through more than just broken bones and relationships. I'm not gonna bore you with all the details and crap, but I fucking love her and will do anything for her.
"Trace, you need to come home. I miss you, i'm all alone." Mom said from the doorway. I turned towards her.
"Why aren't you with her? Someone has to be? How would you like going into a coma and waking up to find out that none of your family has been visiting you?!?!" I asked her. She sighed.
"Trace it's been a month. The doctors will let us know when she wakes up." She said. I shook my head, turning back to Lily.
"I want to be the one she wakes up to." I said quietly.
I heard mom sigh from the doorway and heard her footsteps retreat.
"Lily, please come back." I said.
Lily's POV:
Mark told me to get on Ash's soft side if I was to get information out of him. So instead of interrogating the poor guy, I spent the whole week with him laughing, hanging out, playing games on the beach, watching movies all night and kissing.
I've never felt more in love. But honest to God if I didn't see my brother soon I would try to kill myself twice.
"So...Ash?" I asked him. We were sharing a beanbag chair, our legs intertwined.
"Yes?" He asked, tearing his eyes away from the movie and looking at me.
"I've been hanging out with Mark, and I found out that he...got an earth viewing laptop like yours. Apparently everyone gets one. Why haven't I gotten mine?" I asked. I felt him tense.
"Oh, I didn't think you wanted one." He said. I frowned.
"You saw how I acted towards seeing my brother on camera. I need one so I can find a way out of my coma and back on earth. I know there has to be some way. I mean, I know the coma kind are rare here, but you're in a coma. You would know." I said. He looked uncomfortable.
"Look Lily, I love you and I don't want to do anything to hurt you, but I honestly don't think going back to earth would be such a good idea. Think of how much physical pain you'll be in. After four weeks of being in a coma, especially in a suicidal state. You won't be feeling as good as you do here. Trust me." He said.
"You are causing me pain though! You're keeping me from my family and friends!!!!" I said, standing up. He stood up too, placing his hands gently on my arms.
"Lily, trust me when I say this-" He started, but I cut him off.
"Trust me when I say this Ash. You're keeping me here for some odd reason that I don't know about, and I want to know why. Because that's probably the only thing that's holding me back." I said. He sighed, threw his arms up and gave a frustrated yell.
"Do you wanna know why I'm keeping you here?" He asked.
"Yes! I do!" I said. Tears came to his eyes as he stared right at me.
"Because I've never loved anyone like you and if I let go of you now I'm afraid I'll never see you again. You're the only good thing that's happened to me since I got here." He said.
My mouth hung open slightly.
