Love at First Sight

Jimin lets out a tired sigh as he leans back against the uncomfortable seats of the airport. What could've possibly happened to the plane that his flight was delayed seven hours ? He checks his watch.

1:20 am

He should really get some sleep, considering he only got a mere five hours of sleep that previous night. He's just about to set an alarm for 45 minutes when a young man taps on his shoulder.

"Excuse me, do you know what time the next flight to Seoul is supposed to take off? It's been delayed for a while now and I'm supposed to be meeting family there." The man asks, smiling shyly.

"Yeah! They said in about forty-five minutes, but considering how long it's been delayed, that might not be true. I'm actually on the same flight, except I'm meeting a friend of mine for work." Jimin answers, chuckling lightly.

"The name's Park Jimin, by the way." he adds.

"Oh! Um, my names Jeon Jungkook." the young man says, holding out his hand to shake.

They shake hands and Jungkook takes a seat next to Jimin, quietly glancing at the time on his phone. Jimin, not wanting to sleep and seem rude, continues to mindlessly browse through his phone. He's so caught up in what he's doing that he almost doesn't notice a head on his shoulder. When he glances to see who it is, he sees Jungkook sleeping peacefully on his shoulder. Jimin glances at his watch again.

1:38 am

"He probably fell asleep and accidentally ended up falling onto my shoulder." Jimin thinks, looking at Jungkook again. When they met, he figured Jungkook must've been a year or two younger than him. And looking at the young man breathing quietly, the age difference really showed. He looked peaceful when he slept, his mouth in a slight frown and his hair falling into his eyes. The only word that came to Jimin's mind to describe this sight was 'cute'. Deciding he could sleep on his flight, Jimin continued to browse through his social media.

An hour later, the announcements finally called for boarding. Jimin shifts slightly, and taps Jungkook on the shoulder to wake him. When he wakes, he looks around worriedly, afraid he missed his flight, but when he sees Jimin, he relaxes.

"It's okay, you didn't miss the flight, they're boarding now, actually so I decided to wake you up so you wouldn't miss the boarding." Jimin reassures him.

"How long was I asleep?" He asks, flushing lightly.

"About an hour, you fell asleep on my shoulder," Jimin responds, smiling.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to, I must've accidentally fell onto your shoulder, I'm sorry if it bothered you!" Jungkook apologizes, face a dark red color.

"No it's fine, you're cute when you sleep! And even cuter when you're embarrassed if I must say." He answers, face also light pink.

With that, Jungkook smiles sheepishly, and links his fingers through Jimin's as he walks to board the airplane.
